What is AppRedeem?
AppRedeem is an app that will pay you for downloading apps and testing it out, and for watching videos. The money comes from advertisers who pay the app for exposure and ratings.
Part of that income is shared with you. The company will pay you in points for downloading and testing apps and then you can use the points you earned and redeem them for rewards or cash which will you will get via PayPal.
There are a lot of apps that you can download in AppRedeem to test and rate There are also a lot of videos, belonging in different categories, for you to watch to earn points.
You just need to download the app and register, which is free, to become a member and start earning points. AppRedeem is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Who Uses AppRedeem?
There are two groups that use AppRedeem, people like you who are looking to make some money online and the advertisers who are looking for exposure and ratings for their apps and/or videos.
For advertisers, AppRedeem gives them an opportunity to have their new apps downloaded and tested or for their videos to be viewed. Advertising on the app will almost guarantee that their ads will be viewed.
This is because AppRedeem is compensating its members to view these videos and to download and use these apps. So advertisers are assured that they will be getting their money’s worth when they advertise with the app.
They can choose to promote their new apps to gain good ratings and popularity, or they can promote their old apps to increase its number of downloads, as well as its popularity.
For people like you, AppRedeem presents an opportunity to make some money from activities that you already do regularly on your mobile device.
Watching videos is something that you may do regularly on your mobile device, even if you are not paid for it. But if you do it on AppRedeem, you have an opportunity to make some money from it.
Same goes for downloading and testing apps. It is something that you may normally do without payment, so doing it on AppRedeem will allow you to make money from it.
You will get paid in points, that you can use to redeem for rewards like gift cards or cash. You will just need to download the app and register for free in order to start earning points for downloading apps on AppRedeem.
How Can You Earn Money on AppRedeem?
As mentioned above, you can earn money with AppRedeem for watching videos or downloading apps and testing them out. The company will pay you in points, which you can use to redeem for gift cards or cash.
There are around 50 or more apps that you can download and test to earn points. Some of the apps are free apps, while some are paid.
AppRedeem won’t be reimbursing you for the paid apps, so it is important that you install paid apps that won’t cost you more than what you can earn from it.
Earning 10 points is equivalent to earning $0.01, so you would want to consider that when you’re checking out how much you will earn for a paid app and how much it will cost.
You can earn about 90 points to more than 2,000 points per app you download and use. The number of points that you can earn will depend on the app and what they are requiring you to do.
Some apps will just require you to download it and use it for a couple of minutes, while others require that you do more with the app, like reaching a certain level of a character if it is a game app.
The less that you will do in the app, the lesser points you will earn. Likewise, if the app requires you to do more, then you get to earn more points.
Aside from downloading and using apps, you can also earn points by watching videos. There are a lot of videos that you can watch to earn you points.
There are game videos, music videos, movie trailers, and more. Videos usually last 30 seconds to one minute and will pay between 5 to 10 points, so it’s a good way to add to your points total.
The minimum cash out is 500 points, which is equivalent to $0.50. It won’t be hard to earn that many points, so cashing out will be easier.
To help you earn more points, AppRedeem also has a referral program.
You will get 250 points for every person you refer. If you sign up with a referral code from someone, you will also be getting points, a good way to start off your membership with AppRedeem.
Now to be a member, you can join using either your iOS device or Android device. If you’re an Android user, you will just need to download the app on the Google Play Store.
For iOS device users, you won’t need to visit the Apple iTunes store to download the AppRedeem app. You would need to go to the http://m.appredeem.com/ website and download the app from there.
Registering won’t be a problem, as you will just need to have an email address, a username, and a password. Then you’re all set to start earning points at AppRedeem.
What is Good about AppRedeem
Now that we have an idea of what AppRedeem is and how it works, it is time to talk about the things that I liked about the app.
- AppRedeem provides the option of withdrawing in cash, which is a huge thing. I always believe that a lot of people would still prefer to be paid in cash instead of a gift cards. So with AppRedeem offering that, it’s a big plus for you, especially if you’re looking to make money online and not earn gift cards.
- The points needed to cash out are low, as you will only need to reach 500 points in order to be able to cash out $0.5. Sure it is not much, but with this small points requirement for cashing out, it won’t be hard for you to earn money.
- It is easy to join and it is free to do so. You don’t have to worry about tedious signing process or membership fee to be a member of AppRedeem.
What is Bad about AppRedeem
Of course, not everything is good and pretty with AppRedeem, as there are a lot of things that I didn’t really like about the app.
- Probably one of my main concerns with AppRedeem is that it seems as though the owners are already in the process of shutting down the app. It was acquired by the company Perk in 2015 but it seems like they have no intention of continuing it. The app is still functioning but there’s actually no guarantee it will stay that way.
- The income potential is low. Even if the cash out is low, the payout is still low, so you can’t expect to make a lot of money with the AppRedeem app.
- The app doesn’t seem to be available in all countries.
Is AppRedeem Legit or a Scam?
From what I saw, AppRedeem is not a scam but a legitimate opportunity. It has been in business since 2010, so you know it isn’t just an app that will shut down all of a sudden.
The potential problem with AppRedeem’s legitimacy is its new ownership.
AppRedeem has also created two more earning opportunities AppTrailer and OfferRewards.
AppTrailer is very similar to AppRedeem, so this could be like a replacement app, while OfferRewards will basically pay you to complete offers.
Is AppRedeem to be Recommended?
From what I recently researched about the app, it is hard to recommend AppRedeem to anyone at this moment. The new owners, Perk, don’t seem intent on keeping the app operational or at least making it function properly.
A lot of the people who have used the app recently are complaining about the confusing way to redeem their points.
There seems to be a need to convert AppRedeem points to Perks points, but people are confused about how to do it.
So with the messy settings and configurations that AppRedeem is currently experiencing, I am not recommending this app to anyone.
There are a lot of other apps out there who are not experiencing any issues with ownership or how it is currently functioning. It is better to look into those opportunities instead of trying out the AppRedeem app.
