Doing research is a vital task for many organization and individuals. Whether you are a student, an employee, a business person, a scientist, and so on, there may be times where you will be required to do some research.
Now, not everyone is fond of doing research since this requires patience, a lot of reading and understanding, some note-taking, and also a lot of time.
Given the option, a lot of people would likely outsource their research requirements to allow them to focus on other things that they deem more important.
Now, one website is willing to take on the research requirements that companies and individuals have and pass it onto individuals who are willing to conduct the research.
That website is called Ask Wonder, where clients can ask the site questions or ask for information and its team of researchers will be the one to look for the answers.
As a researcher, you get to make money for each question that you are able to successfully answer. The amount of money you can earn here will depend on how many questions you answer or information you successfully provide.
There are some who claim that it is possible to earn about $10 to $20 an hour with this opportunity. Is this true, though? And is Ask Wonder really a legit opportunity or just a scam?

Ask Wonder Seems Like a Legitimate Opportunity To Make Money Doing Research
Ask Wonder is a website that allows organizations and individuals to outsource their research requirements. The site has a team of researchers that are more than willing to answer a question or find information.
As a researcher, you get to make money for every successful question you answer or information you find. The site pays every 2 weeks via PayPal.
The amount of money you can earn will depend on the research that you are completing and on how much you can successfully complete.
From the looks of it, Ask Wonder seems to be a legitimate opportunity to make money doing research. There have been few complaints when it comes to the site’s payment of completed jobs.
The site also has ample research opportunities available so researchers will always find work to do.
There are some concerns with this opportunity, though. One of them is that the pay you can get is very low compared to the amount of work that you will be doing.
There are also some issues with the revision process and if an assignment is rejected you won’t be paid anything. Getting fired or removed from the program is also relatively easy.
I’ll discuss these issues in more detail as we progress further in this review of Ask Wonder.
Who Uses Ask Wonder?
The Ask Wonder website is designed for two groups of people with one being organizations and individuals who have research requirements but can’t do it themselves.
The other group are people who are looking for an opportunity to make some money online. For organizations, the site offers them an opportunity to get some research done without the need to do it themselves.
They would just need to ask the question that they need answered or the required information they are looking for and Ask Wonder will do the rest.
For people like you, the site offers an opportunity to make money doing research. The site will have a list of questions that clients need researched.
You make money for every successful question that you answer. The site pays every 2 weeks via PayPal. Becoming a member is simple and free to do so.
In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail the registration process, as well as how you make money with Ask Wonder.
How Do You Make Money with Ask Wonder?
The main way to make money on Ask Wonder is by becoming a researcher and successfully answering the questions their clients have.
You get paid for each successful question you answer and your money is sent via PayPal every 2 weeks. To start making money doing research, you would need to be one of the company’s researchers.
The process is simple and it begins with you providing some personal information like your name, email address, and the city you live in.
Then, you will answer several multiple choice questions, and, lastly, you will undergo a trial research assignment. The entire process would take about 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Answering the multiple choice questions and providing your information will just take 15 to 20 minutes. It’s the research assignment that will take up most of your time.
After completing the assignment Ask Wonder will contact you within 7 days to let you know if you pass. Once you pass, you can start answering the different questions (also called assignments) found on the site.
The website has a list of the different assignments they have and the amount of money you can likely earn if you successfully complete them. You have the freedom to choose the assignment you want to complete.
Before answering any assignment, it’s important that you study carefully Ask Wonder’s guidelines when it comes to answering the assignment. Following the guidelines will increase the chance of your answers passing the review.
You will be required to complete at least one assignment a week. If you are unable to complete an assignment in a week, you will be placed in a different back-end work and will receive different emails.
Now, there’s no time limit when it comes to providing the research to a question you chose. However, you have to complete it in one sitting.
The site doesn’t allow you to take an assignment, save it for a few hours and then come back to it later to finish it. You need to finish it in one sitting regardless of how long it takes.
After completing the assignment and submitting it, Ask Wonder will send it to other researchers to review it. If it passes the site will send it to the client. If not, it will be returned to you for revision.
It is important to remember that you will only be paid when you successfully answer the question. The site doesn’t pay you anything for the time and effort put in for doing the research.
So you have to make sure that your submission followed the guidelines properly to increase its chances of getting approved.
The money you can earn from each assignment will vary on how tough it is to answer the question. The lowest amount you can likely expect would be $6 and the highest would be at $35.
There’s also a chance for you to get put on the site’s review team. This team is the one that reviews the submissions of researchers. You get an additional $1 for every answer you review.
Ask Wonder pays every 2 weeks via PayPal and there’s no minimum cash out requirement.
As mentioned above, there are several issues with this opportunity.
The first issue with this opportunity is that the pay is usually low and not really worth the time and effort you will spend on completing the assignment.
I’m not really sure how Ask Wonder determines how tough a question is. But this is one of the common complaints that researchers have.
I also think that the revisions can contribute to the researcher feeling underpaid. This means more work for the researcher but the pay remains the same.
There are also complaints about the site’s revision process since they don’t really provide a timetable on how long it will take.
The site requires that revisions are done immediately after the reviewer sends it back. This could be a problem since you will have to wait until they send you a message that everything is okay.
If you take too long to revise an assignment or you weren’t able to respond, the assignment you took will just go back to their list of assignments, wasting your effort and you will get nothing for it.
Speaking of getting nothing, the site will only pay you if the answer to the assignment is accepted. If it is rejected, you also get nothing.
This could be an issue, especially since there are also complaints that some reviewers are not objective with their review. One complained that his work was used with just minimal edits by a different researcher.
Lastly, it seems it is easy to get fired from this opportunity, as a few rejections can result in being let go. So you have to really be careful with your submissions.
What I Like about Ask Wonder
Now that we know what Ask Wonder is and what they offer, it’s time to talk about what I like about this opportunity.
- The First thing that I like about Ask Wonder is that they really offer you flexibility. You can decide when to work and how much you want to work. The only requirement you will need to do is to make sure you answer at least one assignment a week. Other than that, you have the freedom on how much work you want to do and when you want to do it.
- I also like that Ask Wonder has generally been on time when it comes to the payment. There isn’t a lot of complaints about the site missing payments or payments being delayed. Most comment that they pay on schedule.
- I also like that it is free to be a researcher at Ask Wonder and getting accepted is not that hard. You don’t have to worry about paying for anything when you become a member. The test assignment you will get is also not that hard to do, so your chances of getting accepted is high.
What I Don’t Like about Ask Wonder
Of course, there are also several things about Ask Wonder that I don’t really like and I’ll discuss them here.
- The first thing that I don’t like about Ask Wonder is that the pay you will get for the work done is not really worth it. This is the most consistent and constant complaint that researchers have with this opportunity. They all say that the work that you need to do is not really worth the pay that you will get for it.
- Another thing that I didn’t like about Ask Wonder is that there is a big possibility that you might not even make money here, even if you work hard. This is because the site only pays you for accepted assignment answers. This means that if your answer is rejected, you get nothing and all your effort will is wasted. So make sure you follow the guidelines before you submit your work to lessen the probability of it getting rejected.
- I also don’t like that getting fired from this site is very easy, as there have been several people who have been kicked out only after a few days. It seems like they are really strict when it comes to rejected submissions.
Do I Recommend Ask Wonder?
After learning more about Ask Wonder, I can say that it is an opportunity that I don’t really recommend for everyone.
If you are someone who likes doing a lot of research or learning about new information, then you might enjoy this opportunity and make money out of it.
But if you don’t have the patience for research and are only looking for an opportunity to make money, then this is not an opportunity for you.
You really need to enjoy doing research work and able to write a good report about the information gathered to have a chance to succeed on Ask Wonder.
You just have to accept that the pay here won’t be a lot, so don’t expect to get rich with this opportunity or be able to replace your day job.
