Yes, you can and should start a blog and I know I for one would be interested in what you have discovered over the years. My advice would be to (if you haven’t done it already) sign up for the free membership at Wealthy Affiliate as the lessons outlined in the course is a great way for you to get started and you can start blogging free. Alana here…from Canada. I’ve been thinking about writing a blog…for years…because I’m a homebody and I’ve read all of my books (three many times),,,(which is way more than TOO many lol) and watched my movies about the same amount…if not more.
I’m a widow and I moved to a teeny, tiny town to be closer to my sisters…that I don’t speak to any longer. It’s a long story… and one that’s not relevant to my point in regards to what I would like to do.
As I said, I’m a homebody and I would like to write a Blog (a money maker would be ideal). I have an idea for it. I’m very much into Spiritual development and Human development (or visa versa) because I needed to study what a human is…after getting out of a horrid relationship when I turned 30. I found that I didn’t have my own opinion or concept or anything…they were all his. So, I decided to understand what I was, as a human being…which of course led me to study who I was and why I was here…as a spiritual being.
I started writing a book, when I was in my 30’s, with the title…Who R We & Y R We Here?Then the internet happened…and I really did try to keep up. I took computer courses: Graphics, Page Design etc. I should have been taking courses for: Writing Code, Repairing Computers etc. Now, I feel like a dinosaur! Everything has moved so fast and I’m just trying to stay in the game.
I’m 62 now and I know that I have to get my message about what I have learned to the people who have the good luck (and taste) to read my blog. I have studied myself, human history and human beings for over 30 years. I know that this is just a wee bit of studying, in comparison to other studies. However, I’m not interested in comparing my thoughts and understanding with others. I know what I know…through a lot of pain and reflection, I actually have an opinion now. It’s my opinion and I’m extremely excited about it and I’m proud of myself…for working out the details.
Writing a book doesn’t interest me. I don’t have time to go through the process of getting an editor and publisher. I’m an “instant gratification” type of person and my age just doesn’t allow me any time to waste. I have a small pension that I live on, however I would like to leave a little something to the people I love. If I could make a wee bit of money, while helping my family of human beings… I could die a supremely happy woman.
