Company: Elken Online
Founder: AK Tan in 1995
Welcome to my 3rd party review of Elken Online!
I am so glad that you found my review.
This means that you are willing to do some research before joining a business opportunity.
I wish everyone would do this but some people still dive in head first and make the biggest financial mistake of their lives.
I am trying to play my part in helping people come to realization that MLMs may not be such a good investment.
I am not saying that MLMs can’t make you money.
If you are great at recruiting and already have a massive downline ready to follow you to the next investment, go for it and I wish you good fortune.
But the fact of the matter is that the vast majority of people that join MLMs are newbies and have little to no experience.
This spells trouble from the start and this is why I write these reviews.
I try to inform people of things that the MLMs themselves will not tell you.
Do you honestly think a company would tell you that it has had legal trouble in the past?
Do you think that the company will tell you that many customers and affiliates are complaining about products, billing and shipping?
I don’t think so.
That is the reason 3rd party reviewers exist.
Here is what you will find in my reviews.
I start out with a background check and a basic overview of the company.
Then I provide you with a basic list of products and list the ways to make you money.
This is all provided in the compensation plan.
I will end with the information provided by news articles and things to be wary of in regards to Elken Online.
I hope you stick around for the entire review because there will be important information throughout.

Elken Online Overview – What is the Company?
Here is Elken wants you to see, although I will admit that their website is easy to use and provides a lot of information.
Elken was founded by AK Tan in 1995.
It is one of the thousands of Health & Wellness niche MLMs throughout the world.
Although Elken was founded in Malaysia, there are a dozen or so other countries that also allow the products to be sold.
Ok, it seems the like the company is well founded in Asia and has not taken the leap to the western world.
El Marino Blanc
Ok, first of all, where the heck are all the products.
This is almost laughable.
Not to mention that the “Health” products have the following statement on the box.
“No Approved Therapeutic Claims.”
This means many things but most importantly, it most likely means that the products are just glorified snake oil and provide no value to people.
This also means that government agencies are not willing to ruin their reputation by standing behind the product.
These are all things you need to think about before deciding to join Elken.
Elken Compensation Plan
Here is the link to the Opportunity section of the Elken website because there was no PDF version available, at least that I could find.
WAYS TO MAKE MONEY
There is also compensation for up to 5 tiers of recruiting.
There is no breakdown of the figures on the site.
One advantage that Elken offers is your own website to help boost sales.
This is a nice gesture but for most people, it will provide little help.
The next section will provide more information on why.
Things To Be Wary Of With Elken
1. One of the biggest issues with Elken is the fact that they claim to provide you with training.
This is something that many MLMs claim to give you as part of the price for admission.
The fact of the matter is much different though because Elken only provides you with ways to target your friends and family.
This is a really annoying form of warm marketing and to be honest, is a little shady.
First of all, who wants to give all of your friends and family a sales pitch?
This is annoying and reeks of desperation.
I would actually be embarrassed if I tried to sell MLM products to my friends and family.
The real money is made in the cold market anyway, so why doesn’t the training focus on generating leads.
I guess that is where the website comes into play but there are so many rules and regulations that you have to follow.
They could be detrimental to your income.
2. The second issue that I have not covered yet is the fact that the products are only available throughout Asia.
This is great for people that live in Asian countries but it is impossible to sell around the world.
This limits your income generation, lead generation and overall success.
I would be much happier if you were not isolated in terms of clients and earnings.
Although the company seems to be giving a decent attempt at a legit business, I am not convinced you can make money here.
3. The last thing that I don’t like about Elken is a MLM wide issue.
Recruiting is a drag. There is no other way to explain it.
If you plan on trying to make a living off of retail sales then you are most likely clinically insane.
I’m not saying it is impossible but you would have to own several retail stores that only sell those products.
The fact of the matter is that you have to establish a massive downline and that already eliminates the vast majority of MLMers.
I am wondering if Elken is willing to share their Income Disclosure Statement.
I also wonder if Elken is willing to eat crow and admit that their FREE training is free because it is worthless.
There are plenty of other issues with the company but I like to stick with the issues that affect your income.
There are so many variables that are out of your control that it is better to start looking elsewhere.
Have you ever thought about creating your online business?
There are plenty of ways to do it so it might be beneficial for you to at least start exploring your options.
The Final Verdict
It is clear that I have been pretty tough on Elken Online but the company is far from perfect.
To be honest, they are much better are running a business than most of the other MLMs I review.
There are two questions that I need to answer.
• Is Elken a scam?
• Is Elken a Pyramid Scheme?
To answer the first question, if they continue to pay their affiliates on time, maintain a great reputation of delivering product on time and pay close attention to fair and honest policies, they are not a scam.
The question about the pyramid scheme is a little bit tricky.
You see, Elken has not released an Income Disclosure Statement, which trouble me.
There is evidence in those statements that are detrimental to the image of all MLMs, so maybe that is their reasoning.
The point I am trying to make is the fact that we can only speculate about their finances and if they are selling below 51% of their products to their affiliates.
If they are under that percentage, then it is legally a company.
If Elken is selling more than 51% of their products to affiliates, then it is legally a pyramid scheme.
Check out the ruling on Vemma if you want to see where I am getting this information.
I would strongly suggest you keep this as a reference later in your search process.
This 27 page legal document is well worth the read and you should make sure to find time.
It could save you from making a financial mistake.
This is why I always say that MLMs are a waste of time unless you have a massive downline ready to follow you to the next investment.
If this is you, then good luck and make some money.
If you are new to the game, find a better way of making money online.
There are so many training programs out there that you have many to choose from.
One of the best places to check is YouTube.
I would much rather make my own business and avoid the recruitment machines where you get a small piece of the pie.
If you are looking for an example of a free and great training program, check out this review.
I hope this review helped you in some way.
Finding a legit way to make money online is not an easy feat but you are on the right track.
