Field Agent App Review – Legit or Payment Scam?

Company: Field Agent App
Leadership: Mr. Rick West, CEO

Welcome to my 3rd party review of Field Agent (FA)!

I am so glad that you made it to my review because I love to research apps and provide you with all of the information you need to make an educated decision.

Since the invention of the smart phones, apps have been a fantastic way of making money or take advantage of great discounts.

This app claims to help you make some money.

Once you become an agent you will be asked to use their smart phones to take photos, videos and various bit of information from stores in many areas of the country.

The information that agents collect is used by businesses so they can serve customers better.

For many businesses, the information collected by agents can make or break a company.

The great thing about it is the fact that you can make some cash while shopping.

My review will be a little different than most you come by.

I have ZERO affiliation with the companies I review so you will never have to sit through a sales pitch.

I simply report the information I find and let you make the final choice.

I will talk about how the company works, how much you get paid and report any complaints I find.

I recommend reading the entire review because each section will be filled with valuable information.

Let’s get started.

Becoming an Agent

Here are all of the steps you need to take to become an agent. Don’t worry, it isn’t rocket science.

1. Download the Field Agent App: you can visit the iTunes Store or Google Play
2. Complete an Agent Profile: This is the sign u process so you will need to input basic info
3. Locate Jobs in Your Area: Select “Find Jobs” and then “Jobs List” to find jobs in your area

I told you it was pretty easy.

This should be a breeze for even the most technologically inept.

I would like to briefly mention that one of the weaknesses of these kinds of apps is the fact that small town agents will have a hard time finding jobs.

It is abundantly clear that city folk have a much higher chance of finding a job quickly.

For example, I made an account and typed in my home town.

I found 2 jobs 45 minutes away.

I’m not sure those jobs will cover the gas costs.

With that being said, let’s go to the next section of the review.

What Jobs Will you be Doing?

Since there are a couple of different ways you can get paid, I will go over them briefly so you get a better idea.

You can complete paid surveys which are exactly what they sound like.

The next way to earn cash is through the list of jobs I was talking about earlier.

The list of jobs is by far the best way to make cash because you get paid between $3 and $12 jobs.

Most of the jobs are super easy as well.

You will have to go into stores and take a picture of a specific item.

Other jobs may ask you to take a photo of a particular item display so you can check if the items are in the right place.

Another example is to simply take a photo of the price tag of an item to see if it is properly tagged.

They are very easy and I must say that the pay is a little higher than most other apps like this one.

Things I Like and Don’t Like About Field Agent

I will start this section of the review off on a positive note.

Here are the things I like about the app.

The potential of making money while running an errand is interesting. It can be a decent way of earning a little extra cash on the side.

Not to mention that you could tag a job at a local store and complete the job in a few minutes.

If you are focused, you can complete one of the tasks in a few minutes or less.

After taking the picture all you have to do is add a few comments and you get paid.

Seems like a cool idea and if you know what you are doing, you can make a pretty decent amount of money.

Not to mention the fact that you could do this while hanging out with a friend to make it more fun.

I have tried out a lot of apps and most of them take 10 minutes to figure out.

This app is so easy to navigate and I was ready to start taking on jobs within 5 minutes.

Although I was only running a simulation to see how fast the process was, it was easy.

This is something I always look for and tell people not to overlook.

If the app is set up properly and the process is simple, people will be more willing to try it out.

There are two payment methods here.

You can do the classic PayPal or Dwolla.

You can cash out at anytime and the process should be within a day or two.

This is not bad considering most apps like this will take 4 days or more to complete transactions.

Now that I have talked about the things I liked about the app, let’s dive into the things I don’t like.

As I have mentioned before, if you live in a small town, you will not find much success with this app.

Most of the jobs are located in the busy cities and you will have to travel extensively in order to find a large number of jobs.

This is one reason I will not recommend this app to anyone.

There is absolutely no way you can make enough money to make this a full time business.

The best you can hope for is to make a few extra bucks so you can have a little extra fun on the weekends.

The reason I say this is the fact that most people do not have enough free time to complete these tasks on a regular basis.

The Better Business Bureau

If you look at the image you can clearly see that FA has an outstanding rating.

This means that they take care their customers or at least resolve complaints in a reasonable fashion.

There are a few complaints we can take a look at.

This complaint is alarming and the big picture is starting to become clearer.

There are so many red flags raised in this comment alone that I am a little scared of calling this company legit.

The one saving grace is the fact that this is just one person’s experience and there could be agents that have had a great experience with the app.

Let’s see if the second complaint can substantiate any of the claims made in the first.

This is something entirely different and although the company stuck to their policy and was able to defend their actions, it seems like wasting people’s time is what FA is all about.

I’m sorry but the idea of hanging out with your significant other while doing a few app jobs should be promoted and not squandered.

I guess couples that share smart phones are not cool enough to make money with this app.

Oh well. Let’s move on to the final verdict.

The Final Verdict

I think I have been pretty fair with this app because I have pointed out the good and the bad.

It is now decision time and it is left up to you.

If it were up to me, I would look for an alternative because I don’t think you can make enough money for t to be worth it.

There are other people that are only in it for discounts and the few extra bucks you make, which is fine.

My only argument is the fact that there are other ways to make money online and creating your own business happens to be one of them.

If this is something that does not interest you, fine.

But there are some successful online entrepreneurs ready to train you, which would make creating your own business much easier.

You could watch a tutorial on YouTube, which is the find.

However, if you are looking for a specific training program, check out this review.

The program if fantastic and you can talk to experience entrepreneurs that started out just like you.

I hope this review helped you in some way.

  1. The negative comment is right. They hook you by paying a few jobs so you begin to trust them and then when you start getting jobs where you have to pay out of pocket (restaurants, shampoos, etc) they deny the job and you’re stuck not only without getting paid but with non reimbursed expenses. Read their latest reviews! Jobs like that on my area used to be picked up within seconds, now they’re unfilled for days even though they keep raising the job payment because apparently other people got burned too. No, thank you.

  2. Agree. They are rip-offs. You complete jobs and they come up with lame excuses for why they deny jobs and if you try to challenge them they come up with even more lame excuses.

  3. I’ve never encountered such terrible customer service and stubborn policies! Denying jobs without providing proof on their end – i.e. “wrong location”? Show me how you see that it is the “wrong location”. The WORST part is they suspend your account. My friends and I all are now unable to use their system as they have “suspended” our accounts. A company does not have the rights to deny participation like this. DONT JOIN FIELD AGENT

  4. Exactly as previous comments have mentioned. I have been denied a couple of shops now for extremely picky reasons. The instructions are vague but they have standards of their own. You waste your time driving to the shop, paying for fast food for example which you obviously can’t return and then are denied payment for something you wouldn’t have purchased in the first place. I work for many of these companies and this is the worst by far.

  5. I agree they are not reputable. I’ve been denied two shops recently for very poor reasons. One was I didn’t take the picture 10 to 15 feet away. I got the whole display in so it should have been fine for payment. I have never put money out of pocket which reading what others say would never do now.
