Is Wineshop At Home A Good Chance?

A visit to the I Foods supermarket in Soho, where the iconic I Foods Wine Shop is situated, was one of my first experiences of a truly affordable London shopping experience. I’d been planning to go out for lunch with a few friends, but when I saw how close it was going to be to my own place of work I decided it might be worth getting a few bottles of wine while I was there. Being a casual drinker I knew that the selection wasn’t great and I didn’t really fancy buying much more than a bottle or two. What I didn’t know was that I could actually take advantage of the Eye Foods wine shop at Home a good opportunity to sample a variety of different wines I hadn’t tried before. The downside of this is that they don’t stock a huge range so you have to go out of your way to find something, but if you live in the area it can be well worth the trip.

There are quite a few I Foods wine shops in London, but the I Foods at Home is the one I frequent the most. The selection is huge and there is a good chance that you will find something you love. The downside is that they don’t usually have flights available from the capital so if you live anywhere else you may have to travel to get there. However, for those that do frequent the London area, I believe this is a fantastic opportunity to try some new wines without breaking the bank. I would advise potential customers to go in there at least three times, picking up a few bottles as you like it and checking out the prices. After all, this is your money we are talking about.

Another option that you have is the Eye Foods at Home value-added service, which they offer in London and Soho. This service is an ideal way for a consumer to try out a new wine or two without breaking the bank. They offer daily wine samplers and a range of small packaged wines at discount prices.

There is a downside, however. Although the wines are reasonably priced and of a good quality, the range is not as large. Therefore, if you are looking for something specific, like a Cabernet Sauvignon, it may be a bit difficult. The same is true of looking for something off the beaten track. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

Another option is the Eye Foods London Wine Club, which I had a very nice experience with. There are only a couple of clubs in London, but this one is a fantastic choice. Basically, you sign up to receive newsletters containing information about new wines, and once a month, they send you a box containing three bottles of new, interesting wine. You then have a choice of which to drink immediately, or have it a night to leisurely enjoy with dinner. They even send you a few glasses along for free!

It is worth taking into account that there are sometimes disappointment factors when it comes to this. For instance, because there are so many new, imported wines on offer, you might find that a bottle you liked a little bit is now a bit overpriced. This happens fairly regularly, and I’ve experienced it myself a couple of times. My advice is to stick to well-known brands, and enjoy them, because you will also get a lot more value for money from the club.

When it comes to actually choosing the bottles to open, I found the staff were helpful and friendly, but not as helpful as their competitors. I do think, though, that the prices are fair and you get what you pay for. The wines are not substandard, but are not necessarily bad. You do have to spend some money to be able to taste the real quality, which is also fine. It’s the same price you pay for a good meal at a good restaurant.

If you are having a hard time deciding what wine to pick up or how to distinguish one wine from another, then head over to the Internet. I found that the selection is a lot greater there than in most supermarkets, and the prices tend to be lower too. However, I did pay over the odds for a bottle of champagne, so do check the prices before you go. You can also choose your store, and I recommend you shop around as much as you can. There is often a great deal going on with some particular wines, and if you’re looking for a specific vintage, you should definitely check out the site.
