Company: Life Leadership
Founders: Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady, Tim Marks, Clause Hamilton, George Guzzardo, Bill Lewis and Dan Hawkins
Welcome to my 3rd party review of Life Leadership!
I would like to take the time to congratulate you on the first step in finding an online business opportunity.
Doing research before joining an MLM or other business if paramount and can only help you make the right choice.
I write these articles to make sure people are informed and the way I do that is conduct research into companies.
This includes an in depth overview, providing a product list and analysis of the compensation plan and providing information given by the Better Business Bureau.
All of that really matter when it comes to making a decision.
If I had it my way, I would direct you away from all MLMs but that would derail my cause so all I can do is make a plea for you to increase your leadership skills and business marketing skills via training programs.
This is what I recommend for all people, whether you are experienced with MLMs or not.
Nothing bad has ever happened by becoming more educated…well except student debt but that is a topic for another time.
Back to my review; this is a 3rd party review which means that I have ZERO affiliation with the companies I write about.
This means you will not see any advertisements or sales pitches.
I only provide evidence and find out what the company will not tell you.
You can also check out the step-by-step training that helps me earn over $10,000+ per month working from home.
Life Leadership Overview – What is the Company?
There is no doubt that the leadership of a company will make or break a company.
Let’s take a look at the “Our History” page of Life Leadership’s website.
It says that the company was founded in 2011 by 8 founders, all with extensive experience in the network marketing field.
In late 2014, Life Leadership’s headquarters changed from Flint, Michigan to a place called Cary North Carolina.
The company is growing quite extensively annually and is completely debt free.
Life Leadership is now expanding internationally.
Now all of this sounds amazing but this is information directly from their website.
Let’s take a look at other information found from different sources.
Remember when the site said 8 founders; well only 7 of them are listed on the sight which means one of the founders has left.
Among all of the leaders, Orrin Woodward seems to be the man in charge considering he is acting Chairman of the Boards.
Woodward was sued, in 2007, after leaving Amway and the suit was settled 3 years later in a private deal between the two parties.
There is a ton of information about it but if you want to know the real scoop, check out this article by Forbes Magazine.
It is a great article which tells you all about the company and all about Woodward.
In fact, I recommend reading the article and it should help you make a decision.
All I have to say on the matter is that I cannot really get enthusiastic about a company that has any legal issues.
Just my two cents…
Products and Services
This section is going to be a basic breakdown of the product and services that Life Leadership offers.
Let’s face it, if the product is not marketable, then failure is almost a guarantee.
Here we go…
3 PRODUCT CATEGORIES
3. Personal Development
FINANCIAL – $109 to $165
Rules of Money
You can also take a financial Master Class which is slightly more expensive and teaches you how to understand finances on a deeper level.
• Life Leadership
• Edge Series
• Rascal Radio
• Total Access
• All Grace Outreach
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT– $65 for 6 months and you get books and audios every month.
In case you haven’t noticed, there are so many monthly fees I can barely keep up with them.
If you add all of the monthly costs together, it would be around $300.
That sounds like an awful lot of money for books and audio training that is not updated on a regular bases.
Not only that; roughly 70% of Americans haven’t even been in a bookstore in the past 5 years.
Check out this StatisticBrain chart for more alarming details.
Ok, let’s move on to the compensation plan.
The Compensation Plan
This is the way I see things. If you can make money with a company, then you should at least consider it as an option.
The only way to determine this is through the Life Leadership Compensation Plan PDF.
As a bonus, there is also an Income Disclosure Statement which is refreshing considering most MLMs try and hide those statistics; and for good reason.
WAYS TO GET PAID
1. Retail Sales Margin
2. Customer Referral Program
3. Bonus Chart Commissions
4. Performer’s Incentive Trip
5. Community Advancement Bonus (CAB)
6. Leader Bonus
7. Depth Bonuses
8. One-Time Cash Awards
Ok, there are a lot of ways to make money, but if you look at the plan, Life Leadership claims there are 15 ways to make money when in reality, there are only 8. Now let’s take a look at the Income Disclosure Statement because they are always filled with facts that should make the normal person run away from all MLMs as fast as they can.
INCOME DISLCOSURE STATEMENT
Scroll down to page 18 and look at the chart.
It offers a lot of information.
For example, 56% of all students are not even qualified to make money and participate in the compensation plan.
That is scary because it doesn’t tell you that right off the bat, you have 56% of people that just start, are losing money with this MLM.
That is all you really need to know but if you look at the IDS you should be able to see a pattern.
The higher you go in rank, the lower % of members there are.
Now you know what a true pyramid looks like.
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
I really like it when a company that I am reviewing is in the BBB database.
It really helps out with a lot of questions that plague most MLMs.
First of all, Life Leadership has a pretty good grade.
They have an A-, so what this tells us is that they are really good at handling customer complaints, when BBB gets them.
You have to understand that most complaints don’t make it to this level whether by the company dealing with them or people getting impatient and never following up.
That says a lot and in this case, I see this happening.
Here is the link to the Life Leadership BBB page.
If you remember what I said in the beginning of the review, the company moved from Flint Michigan to Cary, North Carolina.
There are two pages in the BBB database, although they have the same grade, there are additional complaints.
This is something you should keep in mind because the only link the company shows you is the older one.
Not a big deal but something you need to know.
Let’s look at a couple of reviews from BBB.
This customer said that the company lied to get his payment and then never gave a refund.
Now I do not know the exact situation but the customer’s comment paints a pretty clear picture.
Keep in mind that no company is perfect and things like this can happen.
After BBB stepped in, the company repaid half of the charge and the customer said the other half would be returned within 5 business days.
Whether or not that happened we do not know.
Well, to be perfectly honest, I do not have to explain much about this comment but it seems like there is someone spelling out all of the issues that many people have with MLMs in general.
You can agree or disagree with this person but I urge you to at least take it in and take it for what it is worth.
The Final Verdict
I am not going to label Life Leadership as a scam because it has all of the makings of a legit business in some aspects.
On the other hand, I have seen many other companies with better programs at a fraction of the price.
What makes it interesting is that the company has so many leaders but they seem to be slowly abandoning ship for undisclosed reasons.
This always happens with MLMs when the trend is not in their favor.
The leaders take their downline and say, “on to the next MLM scheme.”
Look, I sound really harsh when I write about MLMs but it is of their own doing.
Most of them sell less than optimal products or services and attach a money making scheme to it and call it a day.
That is not a real business it is a legal scam because government regulations are extremely lax when it comes to MLMs.
At any rate, I really hope that you try and find a way to get an affordable and proven training program that teaches you how to create your own online business.
You need to know that they exist but you just have to look.
Take a look at this review as an example of a proven company.
You can try it out for free so there is no risk involved.
I hope this review helped you on your journey of discovering what works for you.
