Younique Business Product Review: Here Is What You Need to Know…

unique

Younique is a online cosmetic store that utilizes a multi-level marketing marketing system. Everyone can become a promoter and earn a commission for making sales. Is it another MLM scam? or can you really use it to make money?

Let’s find out.

In this review we will take a look at Younique and see if it is a legitimate business opportunity.

If you heard about Younique but are skeptical, this review will make things a little clearer for you.

What is It?

Younique is a cosmetic company that was founded by Derek Maxfield and Melanie Huscroft (who are brother and sister) in 2012 and the company is expanding at a rapid rate.

Their mission, as stated on their website, is to uplift woman by creating cosmetic products that empower them spiritually and physically; making it possible for people to look and feel their best.

In a nutshell, it’s an online store that is full of a wide range of cosmetic products (fake eye lashes, eye serum, fiber lashes, 3d mascara, make up remover, lip gloss, lipstick, eye-shadow, nail polish, etc.)

These products are made from completely natural resources and are backed by solid research.

The idea of the business opportunity is to join the team, pay the sign-up fee, recruit new members, and sell products.

It’s the same simple multi-level marketing system that can be found in many different companies.

Is it a scam? Is it worth the initial investment? Can you really make money with Younique?

How it Works:

If you want to become a distributor for this company, the initial registration fee is $99; this allows you to sell the product and receive a commission.

You’ll also be able to stack your down-line with new members once you earn $250 or more.

You’ll also have to use or sell at least $125 worth of products every 3 months or you will lose your distributor status.

Of course, there are many other rules and regulations, but these three are the most important.

Essentially, it’s the same as most network marketing companies, the amount your able to earn depends on your marketing and sales abilities.

If you are not a natural born salesman and you don’t know how to marketing online, then it will be difficult to earn a sustainable living with these type of business models.

Not to mention that the general commission range is between 20-40% and that’s not such an attractive rate.

Does that make Younique a scam?

No, not necessarily; network marketing companies are legal as long as they pay members and deliver products to clients.

Is it worth your time?

Let’s do a little digging at find out.

Is Younique Worth Your Time?

Let’s assume that you register as a distributor for the company and are ready to start promoting cosmetic products.

What most members are encouraged to do is create a personalized website to promote beauty products, the most popular being 3D Fiber Lashes and 3D Fiber Mascara.

It’s then up to you to marketing that website as best as possible, collect traffic, and make sales.

Most Younique distributors claim to be making thousands of dollars a month, and it’s difficult to verify those claims, it seems like most of the distributors exaggerate their income to attract people into their down-line.

For instance, on Work at Home Classes, the review section for this opportunity (even though the overall rating is not bad) is full of members claiming to be earning thousands of dollars a day or more while including their affiliate links or contact details.

It’s pretty clear that when you sign-up under them they’ll receive a commission.

Again, maybe these income claims are true, but it seems like click-bait to me.

Let’s talk about some pros…

Younique Pros:

Below are a few reasons one might consider joining this opportunity…

  • Wide selection of products to promote.
  • Cheap entry fee
  • No inventory necessary
  • No shipping necessary (the company will handle everything)
  • Decent rewards/incentives
  • Community of like-minded women that support each-other
  • Easy to begin

And some cons…

Cons:

  • You have to know how to market products online and offline.
  • You have to reach a monthly minimum earning amount to remain a member.
  • You have to compete with thousands of other people promoting the same products.
  • You are told to create a website that’s similar to thousands of other websites (that promote the same products)
  • You need a large network to successfully sell enough product for it to be worth your time.
  • It’s a multi-level marketing business, so that means you need to always recruit new people.
  • There’s no training on how to build a successful business, it’s all about how to promote their products.
  • You will be investing all your time into promoting someone else’s business.
  • It’s not a long-term business model, most distributors give up and abandon their websites after a year or two.

Final Word:

I personally am not interested in this opportunity, I believe it’s much more beneficial to work on your own business, create your own products, and be in total control.

With that in mind, some people find this opportunity appealing because it is easy and relatively cheap to become a distributor, also the products tend to sell well.

Cosmetics will always be in demand, and women (the target demographic, even though they have some cosmetic products for men as well) might feel more comfortable selling beauty products to other women.

I also noticed that there is a strong emphasis on community; members to their best to support and encourage each other to succeed.

It’s a very empowering environment for men and women alike.

From the looks of it, and my experience reviewing these kind of opportunities, it seems like this opportunity has potential but fails short in a few key areas.

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to make money with this company; and I also wouldn’t say that you can make millions with it.

If you have a strong network and strong marketing abilities, it will definitely be possible to earn a decent amount from this opportunity.

On the other hand, if you’re starting from scratch, I recommend following an online business training course.

You need someone to hold your hand while you start working online.

It was one of the best investments I ever made for my business.
