The internet has changed the way companies conduct their respective businesses. There is now more emphasis on having an online brand image, as well as a rise in providing online products and programs.
But it’s not only businesses who are benefiting from the internet’s rise, as money-making opportunities are also increasing.
One such opportunity is being a tester of these new websites and online programs. Yes, this is becoming a good opportunity to look into, considering there are now several companies offering it.
There’s UserTesting, Userfeel, WhatUsersDo, IntelliZoom, and many more.
For this review, we were meant to look at a user testing site called WhatUsersDo, but after UserZoom acquired them in 2018, they have been integrated into IntelliZoom, so we’ll look at this user testing opportunity the site offers instead.
It’s a site that pays people to test websites, software programs, and apps. They pay $10 for the more complicated tests and $5 for the simpler ones.
But is the opportunity that IntelliZoom offers really legitimate or is it just a scam that you should avoid?

IntelliZoom is a Legit Site that Offers an Opportunity to Make Money Online
IntelliZoom is a site that is owned by UserZoom, a research agency that has a goal of helping companies and developers make better apps, software, and websites.
The opportunity the site provides is to get paid to participate in testing websites, apps, and programs. The amount of money you can earn will depend on the kind of product you will be testing.
The more complicated ones will earn you $10, while the simpler ones $5. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I can say that IntelliZoom is a legit opportunity to make money from.
The site does offer an opportunity to make money testing online programs. There is only a little complaint about payment, so you know you won’t have a problem getting your money here.
Of course, there are also some complaints and issues with this opportunity. The most common complaint about IntelliZoom is the limited work available.
Opportunities are also on a first-come-first-serve basis, so you need to be quick to react. I’ll discuss in more detail these issues, as we progress further in this review.
Who Uses IntelliZoom?
IntelliZoom is designed for two groups with one being companies and developers who have a new website, app, or software program that they want to be tested. The other group are people who are looking for opportunities to make some money online.
For companies and developers, this site gives them a way to find out what people think of their latest program.
IntelliZoom gives them an opportunity to tap into their community of panelists that are more than willing to test websites, apps, or software programs and provide feedback.
The feedback they get will help them make the necessary adjustments and changes to improve their websites, apps, or software.
For people like you, IntelliZoom gives you an opportunity to make money online by becoming one of the site’s panelists.
As a panelist, you make money conducting tests and reviews of websites, apps, and software programs. Then you provide feedback to help companies improve these programs they have developed.
The amount of money you earn will depend on how complex the program, app, or website you are testing is. You just need to pass certain requirements before you can register, which is free.
In the next section, I’ll provide more detail about the registration process and how IntelliZoom works.
How Do You Make Money with IntelliZoom?
IntelliZoom provides you with an opportunity to make money online by testing websites, apps, and software programs.
You get paid for each test you complete, and the amount of money will depend on how complex the product you are testing.
To participate, you first need to become a panelist. To join, you need to be at least 18 years old and a resident of the UK, the U.S., Germany, or Spain.
You should also be willing to have your face and/or voice recorded, and you should be good at following instructions.
For the technical requirements, you need to have a laptop, desktop, and/or mobile device that is capable of receiving SMS text messages or emails.
Your device also needs to have a webcam and microphone (either built-in or external), and a fast internet connection. IntelliZoom requires that it is at least 3Mbps fast or higher.
Once you meet the requirements, you can start registering for the panel community. It’s simple and easy to do so and after completing the details, you just need to answer 3 basic profiling questions.
After you are done, you’ll first be given practice studies to give you an idea of how user testing works. The practice studies will also allow IntelliZoom to gauge how your desktop, mobile, or laptop performs.
Practice studies are not paid but they are short. If you’re not yet familiar with user testing, it’ basically you using and exploring a site, app or software, as you normally would.
Trying out different things seeing what works and what doesn’t. But the difference is that you need to speak out loud about your findings and what you are doing while being recorded.
IntelliZoom will record three things during the study, your face (via webcam), your voice (via microphone), and the screen of your device.
They do say your face won’t always be recorded since this depends on the kind of study you are doing and on the client’s request.
Once you have completed the practice study, you will start getting invited to the actual client’s studies. The site bases their invitation on their available studies and on whether your profile matches what the client is looking for.
The site will send invites via email. Once you get an invite, it’s important that you take action quickly since it’s on a first-come-first-serve basis. This means you might lose a slot if you’re not quick enough to respond.
As for payment, IntelliZoom will include how much you can expect to receive in the study invitation. But it’s stated that you can expect to earn $10 for complex studies while simple ones will pay $5. Studies will usually take you only 15 to 30 minutes to complete so this won’t take up a lot of your time.
Once done, IntelliZoom and the client will review your work and it usually takes them 3 to 5 days to do so. Payments are made 21 business days after the study has been completed. Payments are sent via PayPal.
It’s not clear what happens if your review doesn’t get approved since there’s no mention of it on the site or anywhere else.
But if this site operates like the other user testing sites, they won’t pay for rejected studies and editing or redoing them is not an option. So, you need to make sure that the review you submit is clear, doesn’t have background noise, and provides valuable insight.
What I Like about IntelliZoom
Now that we know what IntelliZoom is and what it provides, it’s time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I like about IntelliZoom is that their pay for completing a study is decent. The lowest amount you can expect to get is $5 and the highest is $10. If you consider the time you need to spend to complete studies, then you are getting a good deal. You can likely expect to spend 15 to 30 minutes to complete a study and provide feedback.
- I also like that IntelliZoom doesn’t have a minimum cashout threshold. The money you earn will automatically be sent to your PayPal account 21 days after the study has been completed. So there’s no need for you to request for a withdrawal or wait for your money to reach a certain amount first before getting paid.
- Another thing that I like about IntelliZoom is that it is easy and free to become one of their panelists. You just need to meet their requirements to be able to sign up.
What I Dislike about IntelliZoom
Of course, not everything about IntelliZoom is good and dandy, as there are also a lot of things about this opportunity that I don’t really like.
- About the only complaint or negative thing that a lot of members and reviewers have with IntelliZoom is that studies are limited. Don’t expect to get study invites daily since this won’t happen. If you are lucky, you’ll get invited to 3 to 4 studies a month, and if not, 1 study a month or one invite every two months maybe all you will get.
- Another thing that I don’t like about IntelliZoom is that you have to wait 21 business days before you can get your payment. It would be better if this time was decreased.
- I also don’t like that IntelliZoom is only available to 4 countries right now. This opportunity would likely help a lot of people from different parts of the world also.
Do I Recommend IntelliZooom?
After learning more about IntelliZoom and what it can really bring to the table, I can say that it is an opportunity that is worth checking out, especially if you meet all of the requirements to join.
I believe what they offer is a good opportunity to make some money on the side. The pay is decent and the work you need to do is not that hard to complete.
You just have to contend with the fact that invites to participate in a study will be limited. This means you can likely expect to receive only 1 to 4 study invites a month.
If you are unlucky, you will likely get an invite every other month. So don’t expect that this opportunity will make you rich.
Heck, don’t even expect to quit your day job with IntelliZoom. Just think of it as an opportunity for a side income, a way to earn some extra money each month.
