Whether it’s workout programs, food supplements, meal replacements, nutritional plans, etc, there’s an increasing demand for these kinds of products.
This is why there are a lot of companies out there coming out with products that are related to the health and wellness industry.
But companies are not the only one that can benefit from this demand, as regular people can also get a slice of this pie.
A lot of these companies are also offering opportunities for people to make some money on the side. One such company is Purium, which offers health and wellness supplements.
It is also a multilevel marketing company that offers an opportunity for people to make money promoting and selling their products.
The amount of money you can earn is dependent on a lot of different factors, so it’s hard to gauge how much income you can possibly get. But is Purium a legit company or is it just a scam and a waste of your time?

Purium is a Legit Company to Make Money From
Purium is an MLM company that manufactures supplements related to health and wellness. Founded in 1993, the company has a variety of different products.
Their products are said to help in losing weight, increasing performance, detoxifying, and much more. As an MLM company, they also provide an opportunity to make money.
You can make money by selling the products or recruiting people to become members. From what I’ve seen so far, I can say that this opportunity is legit.
The company’s products can help in losing weight and improving your health and you can really make money with their opportunity.
However, this doesn’t mean there aren’t any issues or concerns with this opportunity. One of the main issues is that it can be expensive.
Some people are also questioning the validity of the company’s products and that there are also a lot of reported side effects.
Lastly, the earning potential of this opportunity is really low. I’ll discuss these issues and concerns in more detail as we progress further in this review of Purium.
Who Uses Purium?
Purium is designed for two types of people with one being those who are looking for products that can help them lose weight and improve their overall health. The other type are those who are looking for opportunities to make some money on the side.
For people who are looking to lose weight and improve their health, the company offers a lot of different products that are designed to help lose weight, detoxify, improve performance, and much more.
You just need to purchase the product that you need, follow the instructions, and you can begin your journey of health and wellness.
If you’re looking to make some money, Purium provides an MLM business model allowing you to make money selling their products and/or recruiting people to become members and build your own team.
In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail the products the company sells and how their money-making opportunity really works.
How Does Purium Work?
Purium is a company that offers products related to the health and wellness industry. Their products are said to help people in various health-related issues like losing weight, detoxifying, and so on.
The company also has a money-making opportunity through its MLM program. Once you become a distributor, you can earn commissions selling the products.
You can also make money by recruiting people to be part of the company and build your own team of independent distributors.
Before we discuss the compensation plan that the company has and how you can become a distributor, let us first discuss briefly the different products Purium offers.
Now, the company’s products are divided into 5 different categories, Cleansing, Weight Loss, Performance, Family, and Rejuvenate.
The Cleansing category has products and programs that are designed to cleanse impurities from your body like GMOs. Glyphosate, etc.
Products in the Weight Loss category are designed to help you lose weight by improving your metabolism.
If you’re looking to enhance your performance, especially during strenuous workouts or sports activity, then you should check out the Performance category.
The Family category contains products that are designed to provide nutrients and improve health for members of the family of all ages.
The last category is Rejuvenate and it contains products that are designed to bring back your youthful energy, appearance, and performance.
Most, if not all, of the company’s products use green, raw, and organic ingredients. Now that we have an overview of the products, I’ll discuss the money-making opportunity.
Now, in order to make money, you need to become an independent distributor first. Purium has two packs available to become a distributor.
First is the Basic Pack, which costs $49 and comes with 5 gift card codes and unlimited access to the training and marketing materials.
The second pack is the Launch Pack and you have three options to get this membership. One is to pay the $199 fee. The second option is to purchase $250 worth of products at enrollment and only pay a $99 fee.
The third option won’t require you to pay any fee, but you need to purchase $500 worth of products at enrollment. This pack comes with unlimited access to training and marketing materials, a 1-year free access to the DREAMS Platform, and the Green Foods Bible.
The Launch Pack also comes with a Premium Shake Bottle, Unlimited $50 Gift Cards for 1 year, and 15 European Gift Cards.
This membership will also qualify you for the Achievement Bonus and Matching Achievement Bonus. You also get a QV equivalent to 200.
So how do you make money with the company? The first one is through retail commissions, where you earn 15% to 45% commission for directly selling the product. The percentage depends on your rank.
There’s also the recruitment commission, where you earn money when your personal downline purchases a Launch Pack. You get a full commission if they pay $199 and a half commission if they pay $99 and $250 worth of products.
Purium also has the Unilevel Commission, where you can earn at least 5% commissions whenever your team achieves a target sales volume for a month.
You can earn as deep as 8 levels here, but your rank would need to be high to unlock earnings in all level. In relation to this, there’s also the Infinity Commission, where you can earn at levels 9 and 10 after reaching a certain rank.
Reaching Diamond level will allow you to possibly earn the Matching Bonus. You just need to have downlines achieving Diamond rank as well.
There’s also the First Order Bonus, where you earn money when a referral or retail customer makes their first order. Going up in rank doesn’t only increase the percentages you earn, but you also receive a monetary bonus for leveling up.
The last bonus is the Lifestyle Bonus, where you can earn up to $10,000 per month. You just need to be one of the top leaders of the company to qualify.
It is important to remember that there’s a requirement in order for your account to be considered active. You’ll need to have a personal Business Volume (BV) of 50 every month.
I’m not sure how much you need to spend here, but this basically means you have to purchase certain products monthly to keep your account active.
What Are People Saying about Purium?
A lot of people agree that Purium is not a scam. But comments and reviews about the products have been mixed.
The majority of the people, though, don’t really recommend this opportunity and there are several issues that likely contribute to this.
Chief among these issues is that this opportunity can be a bit expensive. The products that the company offers are pricey.
A lot of people feel that the prices are not justified. In relation to this, the fact that you are required to have at least 50 BV a month, means you have to purchase some of the expensive products.
This means you can lose money with this opportunity if you don’t earn enough to cover the cost of keeping your account active.
Another issue with Purium is that a lot of people are questioning whether the claims the company makes about the products are legit as they don’t appear to be backed by scientific data.
There are also numerous complaints about the side effects of the products. The most common of these being upset stomach, nausea, and headache.
The last issue is that the earning potential of Purium is not very good. Their 2015 income statement showed that more than 99% of their members didn’t really earn much.
Associates, which comprises 77.54% of all members, only earned an average of $5.74 annually (yikes). Builders, which are 11.57% of the total members, didn’t fare much better as their average annual income was only $96.63.
The Consultants, which is 6.12% of the total members, earned an annual average of $308.80. Directors, which are 2.64% of the total members, earned an annual average of $882.79.
The Executive rank, which is 1.27% of the total members, earned an annual average of $2,399.02. Heck, even the Diamond rank, which is 0.46% of all members, earned an annual average of $8,493.15.
This shows that almost all members didn’t make much money that year. The company has yet to make public their latest income disclosure, but I don’t expect it to improve.
What I Like about Purium
Now that we know what Purium is and what it is able to bring to the table, it’s now time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I like about Purium is their unique recruitment process. The company has $50 gift cards that members can give to friends, family, or people who are interested. Once their purchase reaches $75, they can use the gift card to get discounts. This is a good and unique way to get people interested in the company. This beats the usual method of recruitment that MLMs are known for.
- I also like that Purium has a 60-day money back guarantee for all products except the business builder pack. This is good as it allows you to test the products out without any risk on your part.
- I also like that Purium offers a lot of different products to give you options that are fit for your needs. It’s always good to have choices as not everyone will likely have the same preferences. So having plenty of different health and wellness products to sell is a plus.
- It’s also good that there are also a lot of satisfied and happy customers despite the many complaints about Purium’s products. So this is really just based on preference and how your body reacts to these products.
What I Dislike about Purium
Of course, not everything about Purium is good since there are also several things about this opportunity I don’t like.
- The first thing that I don’t like about Purium is that the products are expensive. You’re going to need to spend a lot of money on this company, whether you are a distributor or a customer as their products are pricey. A lot of people are actually saying the product is really not worth the price.
- I also don’t like that the income potential of Purium is very low. If you expect to make a lot of money with this company you will be disappointed. The income disclosure doesn’t paint a good picture, especially if you are just starting out.
Do I Recommend Purium?
After learning more about what Purium really is and what it offers, I would say that this is one money-making opportunity that I don’t recommend.
My reason for this recommendation is simple, the income potential is not really worth your time, effort, and money you’ll likely spend trying to make this opportunity work.
This is not new as the majority of MLM opportunities have this problem. This is why I don’t really recommend any MLM opportunities as I have yet to encounter a company where the majority of its members are making money.
There are a lot of different reasons and factors that can contribute to this kind of situation. But I just think that the MLM business model is outdated.
There are a lot of better money-making opportunities out there that are worth your time and effort.
