Field Agent App Review – Legit or Payment Scam?

Company: Field Agent App
Website: http://app.fieldagent.net/
Leadership: Mr. Rick West, CEO

I am so glad that you made it to my review because I love to research apps and provide you with all of the information you need to make an educated decision.

Since the invention of the smart phones, apps have been a fantastic way of making money or take advantage of great discounts.

This app claims to help you make some money.

Once you become an agent you will be asked to use their smart phones to take photos, videos and various bit of information from stores in many areas of the country.

The information that agents collect is used by businesses so they can serve customers better. For many businesses, the information collected by agents can make or break a company.

The great thing about it is the fact that you can make some cash while shopping. My review will be a little different than most you come by.

I have ZERO affiliation with the companies I review so you will never have to sit through a sales pitch. I simply report the information I find and let you make the final choice.

I will talk about how the company works, how much you get paid and report any complaints I find. I recommend reading the entire review because each section will be filled with valuable information.

You can also check out the step-by-step training that helps me earn over $10,000+ per month working from home.

Becoming an Agent

Here are all of the steps you need to take to become an agent. Don’t worry, it isn’t rocket science.

1. Download the Field Agent App: you can visit the iTunes Store or Google Play
2. Complete an Agent Profile: This is the sign u process so you will need to input basic info
3. Locate Jobs in Your Area: Select “Find Jobs” and then “Jobs List” to find jobs in your area

I told you it was pretty easy.

This should be a breeze for even the most technologically inept.

I would like to briefly mention that one of the weaknesses of these kinds of apps is the fact that small town agents will have a hard time finding jobs.

It is abundantly clear that city folk have a much higher chance of finding a job quickly.

For example, I made an account and typed in my home town.

I found 2 jobs 45 minutes away.

I’m not sure those jobs will cover the gas costs.

With that being said, let’s go to the next section of the review.

What Jobs Will you be Doing?

Since there are a couple of different ways you can get paid, I will go over them briefly so you get a better idea.

You can complete paid surveys which are exactly what they sound like.

The next way to earn cash is through the list of jobs I was talking about earlier.

The list of jobs is by far the best way to make cash because you get paid between $3 and $12 jobs.

Most of the jobs are super easy as well.

You will have to go into stores and take a picture of a specific item.

Other jobs may ask you to take a photo of a particular item display so you can check if the items are in the right place.

Another example is to simply take a photo of the price tag of an item to see if it is properly tagged.

They are very easy and I must say that the pay is a little higher than most other apps like this one.

I know sounds too good to be true – right?

Well, it might just be.

If you want to make money, then there are much better ways for you to do it on a part-time basis where you can earn thousands of dollars every month. Here’s what I recommend.

Things I Like and Don’t Like About Field Agent

I will start this section of the review off on a positive note.

Here are the things I like about the app.

The potential of making money while running an errand is interesting. It can be a decent way of earning a little extra cash on the side.

Not to mention that you could tag a job at a local store and complete the job in a few minutes.

If you are focused, you can complete one of the tasks in a few minutes or less.

After taking the picture all you have to do is add a few comments and you get paid.

Seems like a cool idea and if you know what you are doing, you can make a pretty decent amount of money.

Not to mention the fact that you could do this while hanging out with a friend to make it more fun.

FANTASTIC APP

I have tried out a lot of apps and most of them take 10 minutes to figure out.

This app is so easy to navigate and I was ready to start taking on jobs within 5 minutes.

Although I was only running a simulation to see how fast the process was, it was easy.

This is something I always look for and tell people not to overlook.

If the app is set up properly and the process is simple, people will be more willing to try it out.

PAYMENT PROCESS

There are two payment methods here.

You can do the classic PayPal or Dwolla.

You can cash out at anytime and the process should be within a day or two.

This is not bad considering most apps like this will take 4 days or more to complete transactions.

Now that I have talked about the things I liked about the app, let’s dive into the things I don’t like.

SMALL TOWN FOLK

As I have mentioned before, if you live in a small town, you will not find much success with this app.

Most of the jobs are located in the busy cities and you will have to travel extensively in order to find a large number of jobs.

This is one reason I will not recommend this app to anyone.

NOT FULL TIME WORK

There is absolutely no way you can make enough money to make this a full time business.

The best you can hope for is to make a few extra bucks so you can have a little extra fun on the weekends.

The reason I say this is the fact that most people do not have enough free time to complete these tasks on a regular basis.

The Better Business Bureau

If you look at the image you can clearly see that FA has an outstanding rating.

This means that they take care their customers or at least resolve complaints in a reasonable fashion.

There are a few complaints we can take a look at.

This complaint is alarming and the big picture is starting to become clearer.

There are so many red flags raised in this comment alone that I am a little scared of calling this company legit.

The one saving grace is the fact that this is just one person’s experience and there could be agents that have had a great experience with the app.

Let’s see if the second complaint can substantiate any of the claims made in the first.

This is something entirely different and although the company stuck to their policy and was able to defend their actions, it seems like wasting people’s time is what FA is all about.

I’m sorry but the idea of hanging out with your significant other while doing a few app jobs should be promoted and not squandered.

I guess couples that share smart phones are not cool enough to make money with this app.

Oh well. Let’s move on to the final verdict.

The Final Verdict

I think I have been pretty fair with this app because I have pointed out the good and the bad.

It is now decision time and it is left up to you.

If it were up to me, I would look for an alternative because I don’t think you can make enough money for t to be worth it.

There are other people that are only in it for discounts and the few extra bucks you make, which is fine.

My only argument is the fact that there are other ways to make money online and creating your own business happens to be one of them.

If this is something that does not interest you, fine.

But there are some successful online entrepreneurs ready to train you, which would make creating your own business much easier.

You could watch a tutorial on YouTube, which is the find.

However, if you are looking for a specific training program, check out this review.

The program if fantastic and you can talk to experience entrepreneurs that started out just like you.

I hope this review helped you in some way.

  1. The negative comment is right. They hook you by paying a few jobs so you begin to trust them and then when you start getting jobs where you have to pay out of pocket (restaurants, shampoos, etc) they deny the job and you’re stuck not only without getting paid but with non reimbursed expenses. Read their latest reviews! Jobs like that on my area used to be picked up within seconds, now they’re unfilled for days even though they keep raising the job payment because apparently other people got burned too. No, thank you.

  2. Agree. They are rip-offs. You complete jobs and they come up with lame excuses for why they deny jobs and if you try to challenge them they come up with even more lame excuses.

  3. I live in a small town and have made over $100 and they have had no problems paying me, but I’m glad people don’t wanna try it gives me more jobs

  4. I’ve never encountered such terrible customer service and stubborn policies! Denying jobs without providing proof on their end – i.e. “wrong location”? Show me how you see that it is the “wrong location”. The WORST part is they suspend your account. My friends and I all are now unable to use their system as they have “suspended” our accounts. A company does not have the rights to deny participation like this. DONT JOIN FIELD AGENT

  5. Exactly as previous comments have mentioned. I have been denied a couple of shops now for extremely picky reasons. The instructions are vague but they have standards of their own. You waste your time driving to the shop, paying for fast food for example which you obviously can’t return and then are denied payment for something you wouldn’t have purchased in the first place. I work for many of these companies and this is the worst by far.

  6. I agree they are not reputable. I’ve been denied two shops recently for very poor reasons. One was I didn’t take the picture 10 to 15 feet away. I got the whole display in so it should have been fine for payment. I have never put money out of pocket which reading what others say would never do now.

  7. I also have been duped by this application. I only went on 4 shops just to try it out and here I am a week later and no payment. I have tried getting in touch with their support team and I get emails saying someone will be in contact in 24 hours and it never happened. Then I get a second email telling me to quit emailing them. They falsely advertise you get paid in a certain amount of hours but I have shops from Dec 8, 2017 and it is now the 13th. With all these bad reviews, I’m a little concerned at this point. My advice, DO NOT USE THIS APP! IT IS A SCAM. They are getting paid very well from these companies and then getting us to do their jobs and pocketing the money. I’m going to be contacting the clients that I performed the shops for and let them know what the company is doing and the BBB and hopefully they will put these scammers out of business.

  8. I’ve NEVER had issues like any mentioned in any of these complaints. I’ve been paid for every single paying job and every scavenger hunt item I’ve found. I don’t do it often but just this year I’ve made $261 so I’m not seeing this as a bad thing. Yea, sometimes jobs show up and then show unavailable when you try to accept them but it is what it is. I personally love the app. I’m addicted with refreshing it to see if there are new jobs available.

  9. Hmmm, I was thinking about going downtown right now and making some money through this app, but after reading the bad reviews, I’m having second thoughts. The only thing is, the app is showing over 500 dollars just in scavenger hunts alone.I gotta go downtown anyway, I’ll try it. Just as long as I don’t “waste” money to “make” money. That’s where I draw the line.

  10. My experience with FA has been positive overall. Yes I was denied payment a few times but not without explanation. I made over $500 in 2017, which is more than I expected in a smaller city. The payouts have always been prompt.

  11. This is a TOTAL SCAM… The scavenger Jobs are a JOKE and the items are no where to be found. I think the Federal Government should shut them down.

  12. Maybe it’s different for me because I’m in Canada and we have different laws, but…

I love doing Field Agent jobs. I’m disabled and making a bit of cash is way better than the no money I was making before. I’ve never had any of the issues people here complain about—sure, ive been denied payment, but I chose the option to get a detailed email explaining what was wrong and each time (3 denied out of 124) I was at fault. If the instructions say a photo needs to be from 10-15 feet away and it isn’t then you can’t complain when denied; it’s not up to the user to decide what rules are important and which can be changed or ignored.

The instructions for the tasks need to be followed *exactly*, and they are upfront about that.

Regarding scavenger hunts, yeah, those can suck but the items are somewhere. Here in Canada the Costco scavenger hunts apply nationally and I email customer service about it: each of the scavenger hunt items has been sold at at least one Costco anywhere in the country, which means that some of the items can be found at only *one* store nationwide.

  13. This app is a huge scam. They come up with bogus reasons to not pay. I was doing well with them and told my adult children they should use it to make some extra cash. They signed up and started doing some of the jobs. Then one day out of nowhere we all get our accounts shut down. They are claiming that their system flagged our accounts as being fraudulent and tried telling me that I had numerous accounts with them which is against policy. They sent me the emails to the accounts they said were mine…one was mine the others were my children. We all have our own phones, live independent of each other, have our own cars. We share a family plan for our phones. They claim the accounts are sharing a phone…they are not. They owe three of us over $100 for completed jobs and bonuses that were completed. They have not paid on these and have not answered as to why. After doing so many jobs with them I know for a fact these jobs are acceptable. Therefore I have come to believe that their so called bonus program for Walmart jobs is a joke and when they feel you have made too much they decide to cut you off for some bogus reason so they don’t have to pay you. I was at the 75 Walmart jobs completed level for the bonus offer. After doing that many jobs over two months, my son doing 50 Walmart jobs in those same months, suddenly they claim the accounts are using the same phone and are fraudulent, not even to mention the accounts of my two other children that they claim are part of this too. If their system flags accounts that they say are from the same person why would it take 125 jobs over two months to decide this? I can’t figure out why I would want more than one account either? I could see if someone was trying to avoid taxes and made up a new account when coming close to $600 which is the point for a 1099 but I had already given them my social security number for a 1099 and was well over the taxable amount so obviously I wasn’t trying to avoid a tax slip. I was enjoying the app, was making some nice extra cash, but in the end they screwed me and my children over. To me if there was a question about identity all they had to do was ask for photo ids, they already had verified phone numbers when we signed up so they know we all had our own phones. I would not recommend getting involved with this app. I have found better paying apps they just take longer to pay. I’m willing to wait for my pay and get paid a more reasonable amount to work for a more ethical company.

  14. Wow, I would never have thought there would be this big of a string of negative comments. I love this app, and I have never really had any issues at all. Prompt responses when needed, plenty of opportunities, and jobs are pretty dang easy if you have a elementary+ education and can follow instructions. Out of 300+ jobs completed this year, I have had 3 rejected because (guess what) I didn’t follow the directions. As of this morning, I have $1290.88 earned so far in 2018 plus more pending from completions this last week. Add in multiple product reviews where I am given an item to test, review, and then keep the product, and another win. I combine this with several other similar apps all having strengths and weaknesses, I make some pretty good coin on the side with a few hours each week. Sometimes I might take a route trip for a few hours on a Saturday morning combining a few apps and bank a few hundred $ in rewards, but most of the time, I complete jobs in conjunction with my ever day tasks or en route to somewhere else. I would recommend trying it for yourself before making a judgement based on an angry review. Just my $0.02

  15. When I started it was fun. I earned over 500$ last year. I did though have to “ argue” a job or two to get paid for them.
But this year they seem to have lost clients and the Costco one seems to be a scam. I have yet to find one number that matches and I had the chance to search in stores in Alberta and Quebec

  16. When they sent me a form asking for my SS# and credit card number, that was enough to set off the SCAM alert. No company should need your credit card info before you start work. They should supply you a credit card if they are legit.

  17. I’ve been doing field agent jobs for years. This year I’ve earned $700 so far. I pick and choose my jobs… never do the scavenger hunts. Read the instructions carefully. Point out any discrepancies in your comments and explain what you did if needed. I’ve had 1-2 rejected this year but I know what I did incorrectly. They pay cash and it goes directly to checking account (no more PayPal deposits). I’ve gotten bonuses for completing certain number of specific jobs. I’m content with this app. The only complaint is the buy-and-try questions are geared towards positive marketing only. I refuse to be forced into positive comments if I don’t like a product. I loose the additional $1 publishing income if I post on my FB page…but I no longer post these to FB anyway. I like the app and recommend it.

  18. I have been denied a couple jobs, one was completely my fault as I took a pic of a wrong item. The other I was denied because the GPS didn’t locate me at that location, I emailed them back, attached the Google map photo of the location I was at, commented that the Google map photo with the address, was the same as the store front pic that they wanted me to take. They accepted my email and paid me for that job that day. They have been very good with getting back to me within a timely manner.

  19. I have been doing field agent jobs sine April of 2019.
There are times they didn’t pay and i understood why. There was something i missed or they say i wasn’t at the location long enough. What can i do if someone gives me an answer quickly.

Anyways, most recently they had their cigarette audits. I completed 20 audits (that’s the daily limit). I mean, i took the morning off work to do this. I was wondering what was taking so long to approve as the previous month i did these, they didn’t take this long.

I sent them an email this morning only to recieve a very cold response from Jeff “saying they have been watching me and i havent been completing the surveys properly. They are permanently closing my account and wouldn’t be responding to any of my emails”.

My mouth dropped. I didn’t know what i did wrong. I went to the store, asked the questions and answered the surveys. Never once did they say to me there was a concern and now they didn’t explain what the concern was.

I did all that work and because they didn’t want to pay me for it they cancelled my account. I will be lodging a complaint with the BBB and any other gov’t body i can. This is just not right. You cant do that.
