A lot of people love to travel, visiting new places, basking in the culture and ambiance of a new country or city, enjoying the scenery and food, and so on.
As much as a lot of people love to travel, not everyone, though, is able to do it as frequently as they’d like. The reason for some people is that they don’t have any spare time to travel.
But the main reason for a lot of people is the lack of budget. Traveling costs money, and not everyone has enough money to be able to travel to different places and enjoy it as well.
This is why there are a lot of people put off traveling since they want to save some money first to be able to afford it.
But this problem is being solved by travel agencies who provide discounted travel packages to allow people to have that trip without the need to break the bank.
Now, there is one company that offers an opportunity for you to make money by having your very own travel agency. This company is called InteleTravel.
The company allows you to make money selling different travel packages. They also have an MLM opportunity, which means you can also earn commissions and bonuses.
It’s hard to calculate how much money you can make here since there are a lot of factors that determine its earning potential.
But the income statement of the company shows that all members averaged only about $282.19 in annual earnings in the year 2017. But is InteleTravel really a legit opportunity or is it just a scam that you should avoid?

InteleTravel is A Legit Opportunity To Make Money As a Travel Agent
InteleTravel is an MLM company that offers people an opportunity to make some money by being a work-at-home travel agent.
You can earn money by selling discounted travel packages to people. You can also make money through the MLM program that the company has.
You will be able to earn commissions and bonuses for reaching certain sales target. From what I’ve seen so far, I can say that InteleTravel is a legit company.
It does provide you with an opportunity to make money selling travel packages or taking part in its MLM opportunity.
There are, however, some issues with this opportunity. One of the issues that I found is the long wait that you will have when it comes to getting your commissions.
You have to wait at least 60 days after the travel has been completed before you get paid. There’s also issue with the income potential of this opportunity, considering the very low annual average income of members.
These are just some of the issues I have found and I’ll be discussing more of them as we progress further in this review.
Who Uses InteleTravel?
The InteleTravel opportunity is designed for two types of people with one type being the people who love traveling and are always on the lookout for discounted travel packages.
The other type are people who are looking for opportunities to make some money. If you love to travel but don’t have a lot of money to travel as often as you like, this company can help you with that.
They offer discounted travel packages to allow people who don’t have a big budget to still achieve that vacation without costing an arm and a leg.
InteleTravel also has an opportunity for people to make money, so the site can also possibly pay for your vacation if you are able to do well with their opportunity.
You can make money through their MLM opportunity, earning profits from selling travel packages and commissions for achieving sales targets.
Becoming a member will cost you some money, as they have a one-time fee and a monthly fee. Unfortunately, membership is currently closed.
In the next section, I’ll discuss this in more detail, as well as the company’s compensation plan.
How Do You Make Money with InteleTravel?
InteleTravel has an MLM opportunity to allow its members to make some money. You can make money selling travel packages or get commissions and bonuses for achieving certain sales targets.
Now, becoming a member would require you to pay an initial registration fee and a monthly membership fee to keep your account. The initial fee would cost $179.95 and you will only pay this once.
There is a $39.95 monthly fee, though, that you will need to pay to keep your account active. There’s also the PlanNet Marketing Administrative Fee for $19.95 (I believe this is optional).
As mentioned above, though, InteleTravel is no longer accepting new members. The company said that they have already reached the optimum number of Agents, which is why they are closing the registration.
An update will be provided in case they start accepting new members once again, so you just need to keep on checking the site if you really are interested in becoming a member.
For the compensation plan, the company is very direct about it. The first way to earn is through the commissions from the sales of travel packages.
InteleTravel is a travel agency and they earn an 8% to 16% commission from the suppliers whenever a travel product is sold. From the 8% to 16% commission they receive, 70% to 80% of those are given to the agent.
So this will be the breakdown, let’s say you sold a travel product worth $1,000 and InteleTravel ‘s commission for that is 15%, so that’s $150. From the $150, you will receive $105, which is 70% of that.
You can also earn money from recruiting people to become your downline. Whenever you are able to sell the travel agency package to someone and they become part of your downline, you earn $50 direct commission.
Once you have downlines, you can also earn a 10% override once he or she is able to sell a travel product. Going back to the example above, the $105 commission will go to your downline and you will receive $10.5 instead.
This is actually what makes InteleTravel an MLM opportunity, the recruitment part of their opportunity. As mentioned above, there are some issues with this opportunity.
The first I mentioned was that there seems to be a waiting period before you can receive your commission. You need to wait 60 days after the travel has been completed before your commission is given.
Then the company only gives it every 15th of the month, you will receive it on the 15th of the following month after the 60 days.
Another issue I saw is the income potential of this opportunity. Though the compensation plan is simple and easy to grasp, it doesn’t mean it will be easy to make money from this opportunity.
The company’s income statement showed that the average annual earnings of their agents in 2017 is only at $282.19. This figure already includes the members who didn’t earn anything at all.
If you only count the members who earned commissions and override commissions, the annual average goes up to $1,233.36, which is still not a good figure.
There have also been a number of complaints raised at the Better Business Bureau website about InteleTravel. The company, though, still has an A rating, which shows they do their best to address these complaints.
What I Like about InteleTravel
Now that we know what InteleTravel is and what they offer, it’s time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I like about InteleTravel is that their compensation plan is simple and straightforward. It’s always a big plus when an MLM opportunity has an easy to understand compensation plan. In this way, you will instantly know what you will be earning when you join.
- Another thing that I like about InteleTravel is that you are assured that it is a reputable company. It has been around since 1992, which means they have been in business for 27 years. They also have an A rating from the Better Business Bureau, so you know they are reputable.
What I Dislike about InteleTravel
Of course, there are also certain things about InteleTravel that I don’t really like, which I’ll be discussing here.
- The first thing that I didn’t like about InteleTravel is that you have to wait 60 days after the travel before you can get your money. And since the company only pays every 15th, this means that it is possible you will have to wait longer, depending on where the 60th day will fall in the calendar.
- I also didn’t like that the income potential of InteleTravel is not very encouraging. In 2017, the average annual earnings of the company’s agents are only $282.19. That’s not even enough to cover the monthly membership fee that you will need to pay to remain an active member. This means that making money with this opportunity is not that easy to achieve, considering already factored in those who didn’t make money at all. Even if you only look at those who made money, the figure is only at $1,233.36, still not an encouraging amount.
Do I Recommend InteleTravel?
After learning more about InteleTravel and what it can really bring, I say that this is an opportunity that is not really for everyone.
For starters, being a travel agent is not really an easy gig as it will require certain skills, like customer service, events planning, and so on.
So unless you are someone who is good at marketing a travel package, or even someone who is a frequent traveler, you might have a hard time with this opportunity.
Another thing is that this is an MLM opportunity and only a few people succeed in this industry. This is evident in the 2017 income statement of their agents that InteleTravel released.
Agents made less than $300 in annual average earnings. This is not an encouraging sign of the opportunity’s income potential.
You could probably like InteleTravel if you are someone who likes to travel a lot and is always looking for the best deals. But if you are looking to make money, it would be better if you look at different opportunities.
