Does affiliate marketing actually work?
This is a question that was on my mind the very first time I started affiliate marketing.
… and I guess it will continue to be on your mind until you finally breakthrough and make your own sales.
Read my story here about how I began my affiliate marketing career.
So making a living online really comes down to your definition of what that means.
Is it $2000, $5000, $10,000 per month?
…so getting an understanding of what it is you are wanting to make is the first place to start.
The next is to look for an affiliate business model that will support that level of income. Or has the potential to support that level of income.
I can tell you straight-up that what the guru’s tell you to do is not going to create the $5 – $10k months for the average person, much less a residual long term income.
To do this you have to be extremely driven and have a lot of time to dedicate to the business.
That’s just my opinion … having arrived at this point in my online career.
The guys that make all the money are the ones who develop products and get other people like you and I “the affiliate” to sell their products for them.
And although they get a piece of the sale, they actually get a whole lot more – the long term customer.
So in a way that business model is limited (for us) in terms of being able to provide a long term income.
So I looked around the internet and as I did I came across what I think is the perfect model for affiliate marketers.
But, before I get into it, I just want to say that I love affiliate marketing. It is what I think I was put on this earth to do.
I love the feeling of creating a marketing campaign at night, and then waking up the next morning with sales in my account.
That is the best feeling ever, because, you are literally creating income out of thin air…
…well sort of.
However, it is really just a one off sale.
Meaning you get paid from that customer one-time only, then you have to get another one.
Do you see how linear this is?
So where do you get leverage?
So I did some research and this is what I found.
All of the online millionaires make their money from having lifetime customers that they can sell products too over and over again.
I listened to an audio the other day from online multimillionaire Matt Lloyd, who is just 28 years old, who became a millionaire in – I think – less than one year.
He talked about how he couldn’t figure out how the “big boys” were making all of their money online.
He thought that they did it from selling a lot of products at the front-end, but discovered that it came down to back-end sales and having a lifetime customer, as opposed to one off sales.
He went on to reveal that back-end sales allowed him to spend more money up front on advertising than anyone else, because he knew that he would get it all back and more over the lifetime of that customer.
So you might be thinking – thanks Frank – but I am not going to create my own product.
But here’s where it gets interesting.
Let me connect the dots for ya.
What business model can an affiliate marketer use that will not only give them one off sales, but back-end sales and long term residual income…
…where I don’t have to create my own product?
Maybe you have already worked it out …
… if you have or haven’t doesn’t matter, because I want to share it with you anyway, join me here.
