As for earnings, it’s not clear how much you can really earn. But it looks like it is possible to make about $50 a month or more here. But is this really a legit opportunity or just a scam?

Perception Strategies is a market research company that helps their clients, specifically, businesses in the healthcare industry, understand, manage, and improve the perceptions and experiences of their customers.
The company hires people like you to become their healthcare mystery shopper to visit businesses in the healthcare industry or do phone calls to see what these businesses are doing right and wrong.
You will be paid in cash for completing the assignment. Based on what the company provides and my initial impression of it, I can say that it’s a legit mystery shopping opportunity that pays.
The company delivers on its promise of paying its mystery shoppers, and there has been very little issue with delayed or missed payments.
Perception Strategies have also been doing mystery shopping since 1988, making 2018 their 30th anniversary. With decades of experience under their belt, you know this is not just a fly-by-night opportunity.
So you’re at least assured they won’t just disappear anytime soon. As for earning about $50 a month, you will see as I continue further with this review why earning that amount is possible.
Who Uses Perception Strategies?
Perception Strategies is used by two groups of people with one being business in the healthcare industry looking to improve the experiences of their patients and the perception they have of the company.
The other group are people like you who are looking for ways to make extra money during your free time. For businesses, the company presents an opportunity to help them improve patient’s experience.
The healthcare mystery shoppers will visit hospitals, doctors clinics, or make phones calls for questions or appointment setting.
The shoppers then provide a report about their experiences and their impression of the hospital or clinic to give businesses an idea of what they need to do to improve patient’s experience.
For people like you, Perception Strategies provides you with an opportunity to make extra money just by visiting hospitals and clinics or calling them to observe and experience how they deal with patients.
The assignment will be location-based, so there’s no need for you to travel far from your location to visit an establishment to make your observations.
Once done, you need to come up with a report about your experiences and perception. You will get paid in cash for completing an assignment.
To become a healthcare mystery shopper, you just need to go to the company’s website and apply to be one of their shoppers.
How Do You Earn with Perception Strategies?
As mentioned above, you get to earn with Perception Strategies by becoming their healthcare mystery shopper. You will be paid in cash for every assignment you complete.
The assignments don’t just include you visiting establishments and doing things to experience how the clinic treats patients and if they’re able to provide good services. There are also phone call assignments, where you won’t need to visit the establishment, but just make a phone call to schedule an appointment, ask questions, and so on.
For phone call assignments, the company has price transparency calls, competitor calls, customized appointment calls, and customer service calls.
For other assignments, there are the process shops, in-person shops, observations shops. Each assignment will have different requirements.
Just like any mystery shopping work, it’s important that you follow the instructions given and complete the requirements to get paid.
Not all assignments will be available to you, as this will be based on what is needed in your location. Assignments are also not guaranteed, as this will also be based on your location.
So if you live in an area where there are a lot of assignments available, you have more opportunities to earn. If you live in an area where there are only a few assignments available, your income is limited.
So far, though, Perception Strategies healthcare mystery shoppers are happy with the number of assignments they are getting.

What I Liked about Perception Strategies
Now that we have more information about Perception Strategies and what they do, it’s time to discuss what I liked about them.
- The first thing that I liked about Perception Strategies is that the application process is simple. There’s no need to provide too much information or to undergo a tough and complex exam to apply. You will just need to provide basic information and your demographic profile and undergo a phone call test, as well as a sample writing test.
- I also like that Perception Strategies pays you in cash, instead of points. You don’t have to worry about trying to earn enough points to be able to redeem for prizes, as you will be receiving cash for the work you did. There doesn’t seem to be any minimum requirement for getting your money, which is also a huge plus.
- Perception Strategies is also very flexible with the assignments they provide, as they will give a week to complete an assignment you have accepted. There’s also no mandatory assignments, so you can choose to skip an assignment if it doesn’t fit in with your schedule.
What I Disliked about Perception Strategies
There are also things I didn’t like about the opportunity that Perception Strategies provide, which I’ll discuss here.
- The first thing that I didn’t like is that the opportunity is location-based, which means not everyone can apply and be one of their healthcare mystery shoppers. This is a bit unfortunate, as a lot of people would have benefited from this kind of opportunity.
- Since it is location-based, it also means that the opportunities you could have won’t be consistent. There will likely be months where there are a lot of opportunities for you and months where opportunities are minimal.
Do I Recommend Perception Strategies?
After learning more about Perception Strategies and what they offer, I can say that it is something that would be worth checking out.
The income provided by this opportunity won’t make you rich or replace your job. But it will be a good complement to your main income.
Based on what I’ve seen so far, you can easily make at least $50 a month with this, provided there’s an average amount of opportunities in your location.
If your area has more opportunities available, you could likely make more money with this. As long as Perception Strategies cater to the location you are in, this opportunity is worth checking out.
