Answering surveys is considered the most common opportunity you can find on the internet when it comes to making money online.
The reason for this is that there are just simply a lot of websites out there that are offering surveys as their main or one of the opportunities they have to make money online.
Now, it is important to note that not all of these survey sites are created equally, as some of them are legitimate and some of them are a scam.
There are also survey sites that are geared only towards a particular group of people, which makes it a more exclusive panel.
In this review, we’ll be talking about one such exclusive survey site and it’s a site called Qbord. It’s a survey site that offers Canadians an opportunity to make money answering surveys.
The site also has other studies that members can participate in to earn more. The site pays in points, which can be redeemed for various rewards, including pre-paid cards as good as cash.
The amount of money you can earn here is dependent on a lot of factors. But from the looks of it, you can expect to earn about $10 to $20 worth of rewards here.
But is Qbord Surveys really a legitimate opportunity or is just another scam to avoid?

Qbord Seems Legit, but there are Issues
Qbord is an online panel that provides opportunities for its members to make money or earn rewards just for answering surveys or other studies.
The site will pay you in points for each survey or study that you are able to complete. The points you earn can be redeemed for various rewards that they are offering.
Based on what I’ve seen, Qbord seems like a legitimate opportunity. The site does offer paid studies that allow their members to earn points.
There are also only a few issues about the site not sending the redeemed reward, so you know they are mostly a reliable opportunity.
But there are some issues with the site, particularly with the number of available surveys they have for their members.
There were also a few complaints about the site not sending the redeemed reward, which is a bit concerning. I’ll be discussing these issues in more detail as we progress further in this review.
I’ll also discuss more its income potential in more detail and see if it is really possible to earn $10 to $20 a month here.
Who Uses Qbord Surveys?
Qbord Surveys is designed to be used by two groups of people with one being businesses and organizations looking to improve the products and services they offer.
The other group are people like you who are looking for opportunities to make some money online. For businesses, the site gives them an opportunity to gather data to help make better decisions.
The site can conduct surveys or focus group discussions to gather the data and information their clients need.
For people like you, Qbord offers an opportunity to earn rewards just for participating in studies. The site will pay you in points, which you can redeem for various rewards once you have reached the minimum cash out threshold.
Becoming a member is easy and free to do so. You just need to be a Canadian resident to be able to register and get accepted into their community of panelists.
In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail the registration process and the different ways you can earn points on this site.
How Do You Make Money with Qbord Surveys?
Qbord has several opportunities to make money, but the main opportunity that they have is answering the different surveys they will invite you to participate in.
The site pays in points for each survey you complete and the points earned can be redeemed for various rewards.
To begin, you would first need to become a member of Qbord. Registering is simple and free to do so, as you only need to provide some personal and demographic information.
The information they are requiring will serve as your profile. Once you are done, the site will send you available surveys based on your profile.
The number of surveys you can get will depend on your profile and on the available surveys that they have. Qbord will send an email notification if there is an available survey for you.
You will also see it at the site’s messages section. The site will pay in points for every survey that you complete. The number of points you can earn will depend on the kind of survey you get.
But it looks like about 50 to 150 points are what you can expect to get for completing a survey. Answering surveys will take 5 to 15 minutes of your time. Aside from answering surveys, the site also has a referral program.
The site will pay you 250 points for every person that you are able to refer to the site. The friend would just need to register and become a member and you will get your 250 points.
It is important, though, that the person you refer should select “Other” to the question “How did you know about Qbord?” Then they need to include the email link to your Qbord account so you will be credited.
So what will you do with the points you have earned? You can redeem them for various gift cards. If you want cash, you can redeem your points for VISA Prepaid cards. You will need at least 10,000 points to get a $25 card.
For other gift cards, the number of points you will need will vary on the gift card brand you choose. The lowest, though, will be a $15 Starbucks gift card for 5,650 points.
You can also choose to spend your points on the site’s Auction page, donate it to charity, or use it on their draws and have a chance to win prizes.
Qbord also has a contest, where you will be required to, not only deposit points but also do a certain task to be able to enter. You will also get a chance to win prizes here.
You can expect to get your rewards within 10 to 15 days.
Aside from earning points, Qbord also has an opportunity for you to earn cash.
From time to time, the site will advertise a focus group study to its members. If you are one of the lucky ones to be selected, you can expect to earn a minimum of $75 for participating and completing it.
As mentioned above, one of the main complaints that people had with Qbord is that the available surveys they have are very limited.
A lot of the complainants said that the site would usually send a lot of survey opportunities at the beginning.
But after redeeming the points for the first time, the site would suddenly decrease the available surveys. Some even complained that they are not really getting any surveys anymore.
Now, this is not really an unusual case, as a lot of survey sites usually have issues with limited surveys available. But this is not the only complaint, as there has also been a complaint about the site’s rewards.
One member complained that his account has enough points to cash out but the site has taken it from him. There has also been no response to email inquiries or questions.
Now, this is just one complaint, so it is possible that it is just an isolated case. But it’s always a concern when some complained about rewards not being given.
What is Good about Qbord Surveys
After learning what Qbord is, it’s time to discuss what is good about this opportunity.
- The first good thing about Qbord is that they provide several options to earn on the website. It’s always a good thing when a survey site offers different opportunities for their members to earn. In this way, you won’t have to rely on just getting surveys to earn the points you need and get your chosen reward.
- It’s also a good thing that Qbord has different options when it comes to the rewards that you can get. This gives you the freedom to choose the reward that you would prefer to get, providing you with more motivation.
What is Bad about Qbord Surveys
Of course, not everything is good, as there are also bad things about Qbord that I’ll be discussing here.
- The first bad thing about Qbord is that the threshold to redeem your points for rewards is a bit high. You will need at least 5,650 points just to redeem your points. This means that you will likely have to wait several months before you will earn enough to be able to withdraw.
- Another bad thing about Qbord Surveys is that there have been a lot of complaints from members that available surveys would just suddenly decrease their frequency or stop coming at all after making your first withdrawal. Though a lot of survey sites experience this issue, it is still not an excuse for the site to do the same. This somehow makes me think that they are only okay at the start but then they will start focusing on new members and disregarding the old ones.
- It’s also bad that Qbord is only available to Canadian residents, as this puts a limit to the number of people that you can refer to the site.
Do I Recommend Qbord Surveys?
Now that we know what Qbord really is and what they offer, I can say that it is an opportunity that I don’t really recommend.
Though the site has some upsides, the positives about them are not really enough to counter the negative things about them.
The real issue for me about this site is the limited survey opportunities available, especially after you have made your first withdrawal.
This somehow signals that Qbord is only prioritizing new members, which is why they provide a lot of survey opportunities at the start.
This makes the opportunity somewhat of a waste of time right after you have made your first withdrawal since earning enough to make a second withdrawal seems almost impossible.
There are a lot of better opportunities out there than what Qbord is offering.
