Welcome to my 3rd party review AccuTran Global Review!
I have to start out by telling you how happy I am that you found my review.
It means you are willing to do the research before jumping in head first.
Finding a worthwhile online business opportunity is not an easy task and some people join without knowing what they got themselves into.
To be honest, it is a little scary to believe that people are willing to invest time and money when they know nothing about the company.
I just finished a review on 3Play Media and I must say, AccuTran Global seems to be heading in a
I will explain what I mean throughout the review but I must say the difference is shocking.
Don’t get me wrong, you can make money with AG but there are a few sources I tracked down reveal a few red flags that can’t be ignored.
In this review, I will be discussing the quality of the website and what information is disclosed.
Then I will go over the skill set requirements for the transcription job and the application process.
Next up is the seasonal work schedule followed by the pay rate.
I will then go over a list of red flags that I found.

AccuTran Global Review : The AccTran Global Website
I have some mixed feelings about the AG website.
There is no doubt that it is simple and easy to navigate.
This is a good thing right? Not necessarily! There is nothing to click on except the “Apply for Work” tab.
Ok, I get it, AG wants things to be simply and get people to apply to fill their positions.
The problem with such a basic website is that there seems to be little to no information about the company.
For example, take a few minutes to read the About Us section.
You will notice that there is no mention of the founders or a name whatsoever.
I’m sorry but I need to know who will be writing my checks.
The information like that should be easily accessible.
If you click on the tab, you can see what job openings are available.
At the moment, AG is looking for Canadian Dollar Transcribers and Editors.
The last aspect of the website that I want to talk about is the testimonial section.
Maybe I have a hard time believing any of the statements made by workers associated with the company because I typically review MLMs but they all sound the same.
I think the testimonials are beneficial to a certain extent but not many people care about what Kim S. from California and Sarah P. from Tennessee have to say about the company.
Especially since the leadership of the company are unwilling to come forward and include their names to the website.
I don’t know, I might seem a little petty but potential employees shouldn’t have to search for that kind of information.

AccuTran Global Reviews : What Does an AccuTran Global Transcriber Do?
If you are skilled enough to pass the transcription test, you will not be hired as an AG employee, but as an independent contractor instead.
This obviously means that you will never be offered any kind of benefits package.
This is something that many people overlook but it is important to know.
If you want medical benefits, this is clearly not the job for you.
This is obviously a work from home job and as long as you are living in the US or Canada, you can apply.
The pay is competitive and you can advancement if the quality of your work is stellar.
You can get promoted to Transcription Editor if you know what you are doing.
I think it is fair to say that this is a pretty good opportunity as long as you have the experience and skills needed to pass the test.
AccuTran Global Review : AccuTran Global Hiring Requirements
If you are an experienced transcriber, you should have no problem with meeting the requirements.
However, if you are new to the transcription game, you may find it difficult or impossible to get hired by AG.
1. You must type at least 75 wpm accurately
2. Excellent listening and communication skills
3. Ability to meet the strict scheduling requirements
You will also need to have a computer that runs Windows and a reliable internet.
You should also have a high-end headset and foot pedal in order to transcribe efficiently.
AccuTran Global Review : The Application Process
The application process at Ag is no different than most places.
You fill out an application or questionnaire and then wait for AG to provide you with a transcription test.
Here is the deal, if you pass the test, then they will ask you to move forward in the application process.
If you fail the test, then you will most likely not hear back from anyone at AG.
To be honest, there is not much more to the process than that.
You can visit their website, which I provided at the beginning of the review, and fill out the application online.
Peak Season Hiring Information
There is a major difference in regards to the working schedule at AG.
For example, during the months of June, September and December, work is not guaranteed.
This is due to the fact that AG has a peak season schedule for transcribers.
This is why I keep repeating the fact that this cannot be a full time position.
Here is the peak season schedule:
Jan. 20 to March 15
April 20 to May 20
July 20 to August 20
Oct 20 to Nov 20
As if the peak season restrictions are not enough you can only work between 4 am to 2pm & 4 pm and 730pm.
AG also recommends being on the clock for at least 3 hours per day.
Complaints and Red Flags
Let’s face it, you didn’t come here to hear all of the good things about the company and leave out all things that could be potential deal breakers.
It is my job to call it like I see it so here it goes.
1. THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME JOB: Since there are peak job times, this job is set up to be a supplemental income rather than a full time job with benefits. I guess what I am trying to say is that you will have times that there are no jobs for you to do. So if you are looking for fulltime work, you will have to do this job plus another one in order to make decent wages. An example of this would be to get a second transcription job online.
2. THE NOT SO FUN ZONE: I would imagine that most people that work online love the fact that you can make your own schedule. This is not really the case at AG. The amount of time you have after receiving the audio file is pretty strict and this can mean scheduling conflicts.
3. NO NEWBIES NEED APPLY: The other transcription company I reviewed had a “no experience needed” policy when hiring. I loved that about the company. Unfortunately, AG wants experienced transcribers. The other drawback is the fact that newbies would most likely fail the test.
Ok, these are a few things that you need to consider.
In my honest opinion, I have seen better opportunities and I have seen worse opportunities. So the choice is still up to you.
The Final Verdict
There is no way that AccuTran Global is a scam.
It has an operational website and they pay you on the 15th of every month.
With that being said, there are some things I did not like about the company, like the strict work schedule.
However, the opportunity to advance in pay grade is something that you need to take seriously because not all transcription companies do this.
I think it is a fair judgment to label AG as a sold place to work as long as you meet the requirements and are able to get your foot in the door.
I will have to say that this company does have room for improvement considering there are a few complaint forums out there that suggest that AG is bad at paying their transcribers on time.
I have no way of substantiating this because I have personally never worked at AG.
I am hoping for some feedback in regards to this particular point.
If transcription does not sound like a good fit for you then maybe you are looking in the wrong direction.
Have you ever thought about creating your own business?
If you have, then you should take advantage of a free or cheap training program that will provide you with the knowhow.

From the docx on the AccuTran Global career page:
“Rates vary from $0.004 per word to $0.0055 per word and $0.40 per audio minute for projects with longer turnaround times.”
$0.40/AM which works out to about $6 an hour if you’re averaging 15 audio minutes per hour of work and not worth it. So, no, I guess it’s not a straight up scam… but imo not worth the time. You probably won’t even get paid minimum wage
