American Online Jobs Review: Legit Or A Scam?

There are a lot of opportunities available on the internet when it comes to making money online. There are thousands of websites out there all offering various ways for you to earn money or rewards.

Unfortunately, not all of these opportunities are created equal. Some turn out to be legitimate but a complete waste of time as the amount you can earn is not really worth it.

Then there are others that turn out to be a complete scam, only wanting your money or your personal information and profile.

To help you identify the legit sites that are worth your time and effort and are not a scam, we review money-making opportunities and recommend those that are worth checking out.

In this review, we’ll look at a site called American Online Jobs. It’s a site that claims to provide people with a work-from-home opportunity.

The amount of money you can make with the site is not really indicated, but research shows that their opportunities claim to allow people to make $700 to $1,600 a week.

Is this really true and is this opportunity legit? Or is this just like a lot of the sites out there that turn out to be a scam and waste of time?

American Online Jobs Seems Like A Scam

American Online Jobs is a website that claims to offer people an opportunity to make money doing work-from-home jobs.

It’s not stated clearly on the site what kind of jobs they are offering, but if you look closely, you can see that the opportunity they offer is affiliate marketing.

You are basically going to be required to sign up to a bunch of sites in order to make money. It’s not stated on the site how much you can make, but research shows that they claim you can earn $700 to $1,600 a week.

A lot of the reviews about American Online Jobs say that they are a scam and I can’t really disagree with their assessment.

For one, the site is deceiving right from the start, especially with their ‘getting started’ page. Another thing is that there really isn’t a lot of information about American Online Jobs on their own website.

There is also no information about the opportunity that they really offer. I’ll discuss these issues in more detail as we progress further in this review.

Who Uses American Online Jobs?

From what I can see, American Online Jobs is designed only for people who are looking for opportunities to make money online.

The site doesn’t really serve any other brand or company save for the developers of the website. The opportunities they offer are basically referral or affiliate links.

So companies or websites don’t hire or commission American Online Jobs to promote them. It’s the site’s owner who’s doing all of the promotion in order to make money.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with promoting affiliate or referral links, but it’s the way that this website is promoting it that makes it seem wrong.

It would be better if the site was honest from the start that it is providing an opportunity to make money through referrals and affiliates instead of just suddenly redirecting you to a different site to sign up.

Sure some of these survey sites and get-paid-to sites can provide an opportunity to make money, but not all of them and you definitely won’t make thousands of dollars in a month through these sites.

I’ll discuss in more detail how American Online Jobs really works and why they are considered a scam by a lot of people who have tried it.

How Does American Online Jobs Work?

American Online Jobs is a website that claims to provide you with work-from-home opportunities. The site doesn’t really state clearly what kind of opportunities they offer.

The second step of the registration process does provide links to several money-making sites that they say are looking for referral agents.

This basically shows that American Online Jobs is pushing money-making opportunities being promoted by other websites. The opportunities that the site promotes are survey sites and get-paid-to sites.

Now, the registration process for this website is a bit unusual.

The homepage of the site contains 6 pre-screening questions. The questions will basically just ask some details about yourself like where you learned about American Online Jobs, what mode of payment you want, and so on.

The weird thing about this is that these questions don’t really have a bearing on your registration process. You can still continue with the process even if you don’t answer them.

The web page also contains a short video that just shows what happens when you click the “Click Here To Apply” button. Now that button doesn’t take you to the registration process of the site.

It actually takes you to one of the sites that American Online Jobs is promoting. To go to the second step, you need to scroll further down and click the “Click Here To Go To Step #2” button.

Step 2 has another short video that shows you what happens and what you need to do if you click the “Create Your Free Account” button.

Again, it will just take you the site that they are promoting. Scrolling the page further down will also show some of the other sites that American Online Jobs is promoting.

At the bottom of the web page you will find the access to the site’s member’s page and training area. When you click that, you’ll be taken to a page where your name and email address will be required.

After inputting the details, you get access to the site’s training videos. There are 8 training videos with the first one being an orientation video that asks if you have signed up for the site they promoted.

Lesson 2 is about how to use Facebook to make money. This video basically just tells you how you can use Facebook groups to post your opportunity or create a business page to post your opportunity

The video also provides the basics of starting an ad campaign for your opportunity. Just remember that this option is not free, as you will need to spend money on the advertisement.

Lesson 3 is posting your opportunity in the Jobs category of Craigslist. Again, just like posting ads on Facebook, this option is not really free.

Lesson 4 is about what referral marketing is and how it is different from MLM opportunities. Lesson 5 is telling you how YouTube can help you get more leads for your opportunity.

There’s also a link that provides in-depth training on how to make use of YouTube for your marketing efforts. It’s not free, though, as you should expect to spend $10 to $15 on this.

Lesson 6 is using Instagram to market your opportunity. This page doesn’t contain a video, but a link to a different website that has articles on how you can use Instagram to make money.

Lesson 7 is using Pinterest to make money. Similar to lesson 6, this page contains a link to an article on how you can make money using Pinterest.

Lesson 8 is an introduction to the Get Response email software. A link is also provided if you want to try the software. You can try it out for free for 1 month before you start paying their monthly fees, which starts at $15 a month.

The last lesson is about creating your affiliate account with American Online Jobs and getting your free website with them. You will be contacted within 24 to 48 hours after you have registered for your URL link.

Why is American Online Jobs Considered a Scam?

Now if you remember what I wrote earlier, a lot of people consider American Online Jobs a scam. And as you can see from how the site works, it’s not really hard to disagree with the assessment.

For one, the website is misleading, especially at the beginning when they ask you to sign up for a free account, you might think it’s for creating your account with American Online Jobs.

So it’s a big surprise that you are taken to a completely different website. There’s nothing wrong with promoting affiliate or referral links, but it would be better if they are upfront with it.

Another reason is that you can’t find any information about American Online Jobs on their own website. There’s no ”about us” page, a “FAQs” page, or even a “contact us” page.

This is important information that any money-making website should contain. Having this information available at least lets you know who you are providing your information to.

And you can also get an idea if what they put there is true or not, thus letting you know if they are for real or a scam.

American Online Jobs is also not upfront with what opportunity they are really offering. They don’t mention what kind of site you will be directed to when you click the button to apply.

Step 2 of the site will finally let you see the different survey and get-paid-to opportunities that the site is promoting.

Since American Online Jobs is a site that promotes referral marketing, these opportunities they promote all offer referral links.

I’m guessing this is the aspect that they would want members to focus on, especially if you consider their training videos focus more on getting people to sign up or register.

What I Like about American Online Jobs

Now that we know what American Online Jobs is and what they are offering, it’s time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.

  • It’s really hard to find something to like about American Online Jobs, considering there’s really nothing good or worthwhile about what they are offering. It’s really hard to get over the fact that the site is kind of deceptive about what they are really offering.

What I Dislike about American Online Jobs

When it comes to what I dislike about American Online Jobs, there are actually a lot of things, but I’ll only focus on the important ones.

  • The first thing that I didn’t like about American Online Jobs is that they don’t have any information about themselves. I believe it’s important, especially for money-making websites, to provide good information, who they are, how people can contact them, and so on. These things add legitimacy to what they offer and people can verify the information they provide.
  • I also don’t like that American Online Jobs are not really open about the kind of opportunity they provide. The site doesn’t only lack information about the owner or developers, but also about what it really offers. They provide links to different survey and GPT sites but their training videos focus more on referral marketing. So what are they really offering?
  • I’m also not a fan of the site being deceptive, especially at the start, with the referral link to one of their offers. The “Click Here To Apply Now” button doesn’t really take you to American Online Jobs registration page, but to a different website altogether. It would be better if they provided the proper label instead of deceiving you.

Do I Recommend American Online Jobs?

After learning more about American Online Jobs and what they can really bring, I can say that this is an opportunity that I don’t really recommend.

The opportunity doesn’t seem legitimate, especially as they are not clear as to what they are really offering you.

The deceptive and misleading practice of placing the affiliate or referral link is also something that does not sit well with me.

They do have a training program about referral marketing but it doesn’t teach a lot as it doesn’t cover anything new. Some of the methods also involves placing ads, which means it will cost you money.

There are a lot of better alternatives out there to make money online than what American Online Jobs has to offer.
