There are a lot of different websites out there that are offering surveys as one of their ways or their main way to make money.

However, not all survey sites are created equal, as there are legit survey sites that are worth your time and effort and there are also legit sites that are not really worth your time.

And, of course, there are also scam sites that won’t pay you anything at all. To avoid these scam sites and the sites that will be a waste of your time, we review money-making websites to identify which ones you should join.

For this review, we’ll talk about the My Opinions website. It’s a survey site that allows Australian residents to earn rewards just for answering surveys.

You will get paid in points for each survey you complete and the points you earn can be redeemed for various rewards.

From the looks of it, it is likely that you will earn about $10 to $40 a month with this website. But is My Opinions really a legitimate opportunity that is worth your time or will it just be a waste of your time?

My Opinions is a Legit Survey Site, But it Has Issues

My Opinions is an online research panel that provides paid surveys to its community of panelists. It’s owned by an Australian data solutions and technology provider called Survey Sampling International.

Since it is owned by an Australian company, the site is only available to Australian residents. The site will pay you in points for each survey that you are able to complete.

The points you earn can be redeemed for various rewards once you have reached the minimum cash out threshold.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, My Opinions is a legit survey site that really provides Australians with an opportunity to earn rewards just by answering surveys.

The site had a great reputation with its members, especially when it came to providing the rewards. However, there have been a lot of recent complaints about the site.

A lot of people are complaining that the site has been terminating their accounts without any valid reason. I can’t say that it is just an isolated case since there are a lot of complaints about it.

I’ll discuss this in more detail as we progress further in this review. I’ll also discuss further the income potential of this website.

Who Uses My Opinions?

The My Opinions survey site is designed to be used by businesses and organizations who are looking to gather information and opinions to help them make important business decisions.

The site is also designed for Australian residents who are looking for opportunities to make some money online.

For brands and businesses, the site offers an opportunity to gain the insights of Australians. The site can conduct survey studies for their panelists to help businesses gather information and opinion about their products or services.

They can use the information to help make the right decision and necessary improvements. For Australian residents, My Opinions offer an opportunity to earn extra income online.

You will just need to participate and complete the survey studies they conduct and you will be paid in points. The points you earn can be redeemed for various rewards, once you have enough.

Becoming a member is simple and free to do so. You just need to be a resident of Australia to be able to sign up.

How Do You Make Money with My Opinions?

My Opinions offers several ways for you to earn on the website. But the main earning opportunity will be participating and completing surveys.

The site will pay you in points for each survey that you are able to complete and the points you earn can be redeemed for rewards, once you have enough.

To begin, you first need to be a member and become one of their panelists. Signing up is easy and free to do so. You can sign up through your Facebook, Google Plus, or LinkedIn account.

Or you can choose to sign up via your full name and email. You just need to be an Australian resident and at least 18 years old to be able to register.

After verifying your email and completing the registration, you will be required to answer several questions to help complete your profile.

It’s important that you complete your profile, as it is what the site will use when they send you survey invites. Once done, you can start answering surveys and earning points.

As mentioned above, you will be sent survey invitations based on your profile. When you get an invite, you will first need to pass several screening processes.

The screening is basically the one that will determine whether you really are qualified to participate in a survey or not.

The minimum points you can earn for participating in a survey is 10 points, while the highest is 400 points.The amount you get is determined by the survey you answer.

It is important to note that the points won’t automatically be credited to your account, as your survey will undergo a review first. It can take up to 2 months before you see the points credited to your account.

Aside from answering surveys, My Opinions also has a referral program. The site will pay you 500 points for referring someone. The person you refer, though, would need to complete at least 1 survey before the points are paid to your account.

My Opinions also has a Loyalty Program where you can earn more points when you reach certain levels. Earning 500 points from surveys that you have completed will put you on the Bronze level.

Reaching 2,500 points will take you to Silver level and will allow you to get an extra 2.5% on your weekly points. If you reach 5,000 points, you will become a Gold level and you will get an extra 5% on your weekly points.

The highest level will be Platinum and you need 10,000 points to reach that level. Once you are there, you will get an extra 7.5% on your weekly points.

My Opinions also has the Platinum Plus Level, where you can get an additional 10% on your weekly bonus if you are able to reach 8,000 points within a year, while you are on the Platinum level.

The site also has a quarter draw where you can win $5,000. You will automatically be entered into the draw every time you are able to complete a survey.

The points you earn can be redeemed for various rewards like gift cards or cash, which will be paid via PayPal. To redeem for a gift card, you will need at least 1,100 points, which equal to a $10 gift card.

For PayPal payments, you will need 2,300 points, which equal to $20. Payments are expected to be credited to your account in 5 to 8 weeks.

Now, one of the main issues that people have is that the site has recently been terminating accounts without any valid reason. I say it’s not valid because the accounts are terminated after requesting for cash out.

The site will say that you have violated their Terms and Conditions, thus terminating your account. This is a big issue, considering it seems like the site is not allowing you to withdraw your earnings. Hopefully, they can address this problem quickly.

What I Liked about My Opinions

After learning more about My Opinions and what they offer, it’s time to discuss what I liked about this opportunity.

The first thing that I liked about My Opinions is that they offer various ways for you to earn more points. You don’t just have to rely on answering surveys to earn points, as the site has a referral program to help you earn faster. You can also earn more points when you increase your level through the site’s Loyalty Program. This ensures you will be able to earn points faster

Another thing that I liked about My Opinions is that they have several options when it comes to cashing out your reward. You can choose to get paid in cash via PayPal or in gift cards from various brands. This is good since there are certain people who want to get paid in cash, while there are others who prefer gift cards.

What I Disliked about My Opinions

Of course, there are also things that I didn’t like about My Opinions, which I’ll discuss here.

The first thing that I didn’t like about My Opinions is that there are times when you have to wait up to 2 months before you are able to see the points credited to your account. Though I understand that they need to verify your answers, but I think 2 months is such a long time to wait to get paid.

Speaking of getting paid, I also didn’t like that My Opinions take 5 to 8 weeks before they send the reward to your account. Though the site says you can get it in a few days, people’s experiences are showing otherwise. This is another unfortunate situation and hopefully, the site can address this.

Another thing that I don’t like with My Opinions is that there are a lot of complaints coming from members about getting their accounts terminated just for requesting a cashout. This seems more like a bug that the site should fix. But since there are a lot of complaints about it, I’m guessing the site has yet to address the issue.

Do I Recommend My Opinions?

Now that we have learned what My Opinions are and what they offer, I can say that it is an opportunity that I don’t really recommend.

Though the site is legitimate and has good upsides, the many cons it has is not really a good indication that it will be worth your time.

Add it to the fact that there are a lot of complaints coming from members about their accounts being terminated just for requesting a cashout.

A lot of the complaining members said that My Opinions used to be a good and reliable site. But the site could now be considered a waste of your time and effort.

So if you happen to stumble upon My Opinions, it would likely be in your best interest to just simply ignore it and move on to different opportunities.
