  1. I enjoy opinion outpost. I spend about an 1 hour a day doing surveys I actually get bonus rewards for being loyal. It yes legit and you can go through paypal and send the money to your account. For every 100 points you get 10 dollars. I done about 30 surveys so far and gotten $30 Ill say that is not bad. Its takes 2 days to earn 100 point or more.

    • How many hours did you spend to make $30? If you spent more than 3hours you are better off getting a job at mcdonalds

  2. The most in important thing about joining opinion outpost is; being truthful, this is actually true of all the survey sites.
If you are new to the site, fill out your profile…I mean, everything. Like if you just started subscribing to a magazine, new bank, an add on to your home, new child. Keeping them updated will grab one another survey opportunity to grab and get those points.
I do get disqualified for surveys, do not let it bother you. I guarantee, there will be another one that you are able to reach your goal and qualify and so on.
I recently did a survey about cats and got disqualified because my two cats don’t use flea or tick collars. (Where I live they are not needed.
However, on completing a survey about how much meat I spend in 1 weeks time, cooking and preparing it (one of the questions were who cooks the meals in your house hold) I do, next question; who will eat the meal that is provided myself, significant other, kids and so on. My answer was significant other, because I do not eat meat. just 5 questions got me 40 points, all done in 7 minutes.
Some surveys are boring, like the ones that pay you to watch a movie clip, right down the adds and the movie that you’d preview earlier and chose items that you truly want. Then do the follow up survey, Hey I might be busy, but I will make an effort to do them.
I have been with opinion outpost for years now. And I am proud to be with them.
And don’t forget, one can always put the site on their desktop and keep doing surveys; Like I do.

        • Paypal. Just provide them with you Paypal email address; that is all anyone needs to be able to send/give you money. I mystery shop and I get paid via Paypal all the time.

  3. I just recently joined Opinion Outpost. And somehow, over the past couple days and wading through countless surveys I didn’t qualify for (I guess a lot of companies don’t want to hear from an unemployed 25-year-old Caucasian female that rarely consumes alcohol or doesn’t own a smartphone or tablet…), I made it to 100 reward points, which is the minimum to cash out with PayPal and get actual money. For some reason, it said there was an error and that they were only redeeming with validated PayPal accounts. Yet I went to the PayPal website in an attempt to validate my account, and it WAS already validated. I don’t understand what the problem was there. >:( I settled for an Amazon gift card as I do buy from Amazon a lot, but I’m clearly a little ticked off. I’m not unsubscribing from Opinion Outpost just yet, but I will be looking for other ways to earn money. It doesn’t need to be much, I just want to actually earn!

      • They just did this to me today. I had reached just under 200 rewards points then couldn’t log in anymore. Were you able to cash out your rewards and get your account unfrozen? If so, how? I have sent their help desk 2 emails and have yet to hear anything back.

        • This just happened to me as well. I reached 200 points and went to cash out via PayPal. I got a notice my account was frozen due to data concerns. I emailed them and got an automated response that due to a large amount of tickets it would take longer than usual to get back to me. They used me to take surveys, for which they get paid for sending people, then won’t pay me what I’m owed. Scam. Do not use them.

      • I have recently had the same problem. I have used the UK site for about 6 months to earn a small amount of extra income to top up my pension, and have only ever given completely honest answers. Now they have closed my account due to “a violation of their terms and conditions”. I e-mailed to ask what condition I had violated, but they have not told me (probably because there is no violation that I can find).

        • This has just happened to me. I had 200 points and when I attempted to transfer the money to paypal I had exactly the same message … ‘violation of terms and conditions’. I have emailed them, but judging by a number of other comments I’ve seen nothing is likely to happen …

    • They haven’t resolved the problem. It is much worse now. I labored to get 120 point and tried to get it through paypal. Their system says my PayPal is not validated and my account has been terminated. So i lost all my point. I tried to contact them. No response. IT IS A SCAM. I can’t imagine if after spending many months to get hundreds of points and they just terminate your account unjustly because you want to get the money you have worked. SCAM SCAM SCAM. PLEASE AVOID THEM

  4. Frank, the only bank card I have is a Westpac card. In your Opinion Outlook and Slicethepie reviews, you only mentioned Paypal as the place where the company deposits any earnings. If I wanted to join these sites, would I have to acquire a Paypal account?

  5. I have done well over 80 surveys, spent hours and hours ‘not qualifying’ for surveys after filling them out, even completing surveys and not given points (although when I emailed OO they did say they’re aware i completed the survey, and so they allocated my points to me), and after all this i got 150 points – coming to £7.50… i have redeemed this into my PayPal account and never looking at OO again. Definitely not worth all the rejections you get! Waste of time! For such little money! It wouldn’t be so bad if they let you know you dont qualify very early on in the survey, but 15-30 minutes into completing a survey – not worth it! I even completely filled out my profile… yet they still send me surveys that have nothing to do with me, lol. Anyway, at least I tried it 🙂
have a nice day everyone xx

  6. NEVER USE OPINION OUTPOST!

Opinion Outpost is a site where you take surveys for money. Every 100 points is $10. I had 265 points, there was a survey worth the remaining 35 I needed to redeem $30. I finished the entire survey but then was DISQUALIFIED at the very end. I then had to drudge myself up slowly to 295 points, at which point I was unable to do any more surveys for 2 days (the site will tell you to check back later). I could not do anymore surveys. When I went to redeem 200 points my account was frozen for “data concerns. ”

Not to mention I had emailed customer support about this issue with no response. Their support page doesn’t even list customer support email. You have to have an error page come up to find it.

  7. Terrible service. Would not recommend to anyone. I believe this to be a scam.
You spend time completing surveys, then when you try to collect rewards nothing happens. I’ve tried to collect as Paypal, Amazon and Itunes vouchers and the page does nothing. Times out. This has been ongoing for 2 months. I have repeatedly emailed support, ignored every time. I do not believe for one second that anybody reads these emails. I have not once received a single payment and I have collected 110 points. Not a lot but perhaps but my time went into this and I should be rewarded for that as promised by Opinion Outpost.
I believe this to be a scam service, an illegal way for companies to collect data. I will be following up this review up by contacting several companies responsible for investigating into this practice as this counts as theft of information. I will also be posting this review on every site possible.

  8. JULY 14, 2015. FRAUD ALERT! Someone is using our bank info and sending out over 150 fake checks so far. Then sending emails to follow telling them what to do once they “cash” the checks. Most of the people are somehow linked to this Opinion Outpost. I’m not saying it is the company but someone is definitely linked to it and this Wal-Mart scam somehow. Please beware of getting checks you are not expecting. If it sounds to good to be true………..it is!

    • Yes, don’t do it.

      It’s a scam!

Walmart doesn’t send out checks for surveys.

Here’s a link and advice for Walmart’s Mystery Shopping Scam.

In your case, it is known as Fake check spam.

They get you to cash the check in at your bank.

The bank makes the funds available (before the check has cleared) and you send the money onto the recipient, in most cases, minus a fee (which is supposedly paid to you). Only problem is, after you send the money and the bank finds out that the funds haven’t cleared it’s too late. You’re then liable to pay the bank back. See CNN article here.

My guess is that it’s not from Opinion Outpost at all, but from some made up spammers email address.

If it is from Opinion Outpost (i.e. The address should end with @opinionoutpost.com) then send me a screenshot of it and I’ll investigate it further for ya.

Yes, those fake checks are coming from Opinion Outpost — don’t use this company for anything! I called their 877-254-1234 number about the check and they returned my call saying it was legit. It was not! I took it to a check cashing place and the bank told them the account didn’t exist. So don’t believe it’s a third party scammer. It’s Opinion Outpost doing this scamming, and if you go on their website, you’ll see some people have the FBI investigating. I also filed a complaint with the BBB, even though I didn’t fall for it.

  15. it seems the biggest problem with opinion outpost is they can collect the data they need and then say oh sorry you didnt qualify! If they ask the important data up front…age race region etc they should be able to disqualify you right then like other sites do (I also belong to Vandal which is also slow going but I have made $26 in two months..at Opinion outpost I’ve manage to collect a mere 23 points and 10 of that is for signing up in same amount of time…that is about $2.30). Yesterday i did a beverage survey at OO. It took well over an hour. at one point it asked how many beverages I had yesterday…I actually had consumed 8 glasses of water so I stupidly reported that…they asked about 20 questions (the same ones) for each drink…which was incredibly time consuming. after drudging thru that boring survey at the end..sorry disqualified. SO FRUSTRATING! they got all the data they needed of course because I did complete the survey. I don’t know if its worth it to complete it or not.

  16. I was curious and signed up. Some vague information was given followed by two cashiers checks for $4800. My major concern is the instruction to wire the residual funds overseas which I will not do. I would prefer to return them so they can contact the next person. As others have said their customer service/help seems useless.
Now I have these two checks, instructions where to go and what to evaluate. I’ve asked them to contact me and said the checks will not be deposited in my bank account, however PayPal seems a good option. Any suggestions?

    • Hmmmm, whilst I haven’t seen the two cashier checks, it kinda sounds a little dodgy. This sounds a lot like the scams mentioned earlier in this thread by Sherrie and Kansas. Make sure the contact email is legit and from opinionoutpost.com and not some where else.

  21. I’ve been using opinion outpost since October 18th, 2015. I’ve made $249 so far. Sometimes I go a few months without doing surveys but sometimes I check twice a day everyday when I really need some extra money. I have tried SO many survey websites and apps and so many are spam or a waste of time. In order to do 1 survey you have to sign up for 3 different things but to sign up for those 3 things you need to answer if you like coke or pepsi better and then select which magazines you want to sign up for etc etc. I was SO sick of those disorganized, spam type survey websites.

Opinion outpost is by far my favorite and the only survey website I will use. It is very straightforward, organized, no spam. You click take a survey, rate the survey after and then you get points. Do I sometimes get a glitch where the page can’t be opened? Yes. Do I sometimes not get paid at the end because of a glitch? Yes. Do I sometimes not qualify for a survey after wasting 10 minutes on it? Yes.

It’s really frustrating sometimes and these are the only issues I’ve had with opinion outpost. However, it doesn’t happen to me that often and what do you expect for making a little extra money online with surveys? Customer service is always very nice and helpful. I don’t really have high expectations for a survey website and I look at opinion outpost like I’m lucky to make an extra amount of money being a full time student and working part time. I am thankful for opinion outpost and will use them for a long time. Please don’t let other negative reviews discourage you from at least trying it. Idk what I would do if I never discovered this website.

  22. I actually live in the UK so the version I get may differ slightly, but overall I have no major issues with Opinion Outpost. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they’re perfect because there are……perhaps not faults but things that need to be addressed.

    so whats good?

    1) Payout time. I always cash out via paypal and it has always hit my account within 30-40 mins
    2) Amount of points needed to achieve payout. Here in the UK its 50 points, I believe in the US its 100 points to receive £2.50 or whatever the dollar equivalent is.
    3) Interesting surveys and the occasional free trial. Free trials don’t happen very often but when it does it’s a bonus. Also you tend to get more points.

OK so thats the main plus points but what about the bad?

To be honest there aren’t any per se. Having said that there are certain aspects I would address.

    1) Surveys drying up. This can be a real pain especially when you’re 5 or 10 points short of a payout.
    2) Points per survey. Overall the PpS makes sense…..the longer the survey the higher the reward. However this isn’t always the case. Mini surveys tend to pay 5 points and the really long ones in the region of 20 plus points. Nothing wrong so far. The problem comes wIth the middle range surveys…..the Ones that are supposed to take 15 mins (give or take). I’ve had surveys that have given me 10 points, 15 points, 40 points for the same length of time.

    Conclusion

    Would I recomend?

Yes. Opinion Outpost is one of the better survey sites. Maybe not perfect but close.

    • Tim? Was the account frozen when you tried to cash out? If so then that happened to me recently due to a typo in my paypal email. If this is the case simply email them with your proper paypal email and (I think) date of birth and they’ll sort it out.

      • If they need your DOB there’s a problem, people really need to verify if people are actually getting paid for their time. Otherwise it wouldn’t hurt to investigate those who promote OpinionOutpost, including looking up the websites with a ‘whois’ search and finding out if the people who support them are employees or associated with them in any way.

I received an email today stating my account is linked with more than 2 accounts & I was no longer able to be a member. I am the only one who does surveys & I only have 1 account per survey site. I have noticed a lot of people getting banned with the same excuse & having cash in their account that they could have cashed out for. I asked for payment on the surveys I already completed but I doubt I will receive it. I will no longer give a positive review for OO or SP.

  25. It’s not real, I got scammed as well. Having a verified PayPal only means it’s associated with your bank account, otherwise PayPal is a service to exchange currency. If they can’t simply send funds they’re trying to gain your personal information and everyone who registers for this website is having their information sold to companies such as; telemarketers and various other scam sites.

I joined back in May 2016 after a friend mentioned to me. I was using vindale online for a month or so to make some money online in order to saved up some cash to build myself a gaming computer. It was pretty slow and not worth it.
OO was an absolute godsend! I succeeded in only 3 months I had Completed: 143 Surveys and Collected: 1592 Points. Got myself around $300. All the money had gone to paypal and bought all the parts I needed via online.

I haven’t used the site as much anymore, I pop in once a week to do a few surveys. I dont spend an hour furiously during surveys like I use to before.

Now I have received there review notice that they could not verify the info i gave them and have been kicked off for ever!!! Good buy to many hours of work to get to the 250+ points left on the table. It is best to cash out on these sites as soon as you meet the minimum amount and not let them build up our they will drop you with a slim excuse.

  32. Opinion Outpost is a slow developing scam. After using it for almost 2 years, suddenly I was unable to transfer my points to Paypal. They had frozen my account and told me that I had violated their “Terms & Conditions”. They “looked into it” and determined that they wouldn’t reinstate me. I’m a 75 year old woman, always honest, not some sneaky teenager, and the only thing I can come up with is that I was making too much money off of them. I averaged $40 a month, and would always convert my points when I got to 100 ($10). I feel sorry for those members that let them build up and then got screwed out of their hard earned money.

  33. Pay attention to what others say about there credibility, and notice the consistency of fraud; it is evident that this site is a scam.
When I first tried this site, like I do with just about every site, I give it a try if I see some positive comments online. And it just so happened that I was reading someone’s top ten review page and for some reason they had “opinion outpost” in there top three – surprisingly.
Moreover, I would also say that one can never truly know who writes the reviews for most things online. Many times, it could be the owners involved in the website that are doing the reviews online. For this reason, in order to accurately determine the validity of a website, one should examine the consistency of not only positive, but mostly, how many consistently negative reviews are there.
So then, back to my experience: after trying it out for a month, I noticed that I was getting a decent amount of surveys from them; I had accumulated $16.00 approximately. Finally, when I had cashed my money in for amazon credit, it said that my account was frozen…My first thought was…that’s very strange.
Now, when I had this experience, I immediately looked online again to see their reputation for this kind of thing. And unfortunately, I discovered that they are well known for freezing accounts and never paying people. This was a recurring thing among reviews, a very prevalent problem indeed.
Nevertheless, despite the evidence that it was a scamming website, I decided to personally contact them by phone and email. I left a message via phone and they never called me back. However, they did return my message through email, and they did sound professional as well. But still, sad to say, they eventually stopped communicating and have not responded to two of my emails in a month, and it has been two months since this has happened. My advice to anyone, stay away from this site, it is a true scammer, and it’ll save you time and frustration.

  36. Waste of time. You can spend 15-20 minutes answering prequalification question then not get chosen to do a survey. I found that I got to answer an actual survey maybe 1 in 10 survey attempts.. So I might waste 2.5-3 hours before I actually get to fill out a survey and then only earn maybe 8-10 points.

The other thing is I am getting a lot of spam email since I registered with Opinion Outpost. I can’t prove that they are selling our emails, but it does seem fishy.

  38. I wish I had read reviews before I did anything at opinionoutpost.com. The first sign that they are dodgy was when I completely finished a 20 survey, as in the progress bar showed 100%, and was then told that they already had enough surveys and that I wasn’t going to be credited. Then I started looking at reviews and seeing how they do whatever they can not to pay people. Well I had just enough points for the amazon.com card payout threshold. So I try and cash out and….. apparently I haven’t been a member long enough and they need to review my profile before they can pay me out. I will update when I resolve this. I’ll fucking bomb on them on every social media site I can. These surveys take time, my time is not free and neither is yours. If they don’t pay they need put out of business. I wonder if it is possible to find out who owns this site and who the manager is…..

  45. Definitely a scam. I just logged in to redeem my points for an Amazon gift card. It kicked me out telling me my account has been terminated due to violations of their terms and conditions. Utter bollocks.

  46. Should not be telling people this company is legit & pay you for your opinions. They have a long list of people over the past year or so that are still waiting for payment. They don’t pay nor bother to reply to emails.

  51. I had used them for a few years, no problem. Did a few withdrawals and had no issues, one day I find my account frozen due to data concerns. I emailed them and they said the would fix it. They did.. for a day. Then they went and froze it again. I didn’t even do a survey yet. Avoid them at al costs. Save your time and your effort.
