You will be given a scheduled shift, and you just need to be logged in to your account during this schedule and accept calls from clients.
The pay will start at $9 per hour and it can go up to $14 per hour. The opportunity includes full benefits, like medical and dental benefits, paid training, and more.

Sitel is a Legit Company that Offers A Work From Home Opportunity
Sitel is a business process outsourcing company that offers various services to businesses, like call center, consulting, technical support, and more.
The company also offers a lot of opportunities to work from the comfort of your own home as a call center agent.
As an agent, you will be assigned a certain work schedule that will require you to be logged on to your Sitel account and take calls. You will be paid a per hour wage, including full benefits.
From what I’ve seen about the company, I can say that the opportunity that Sitel offers is very much legitimate.
You can really work from home as a call center agent, provided you meet their equipment requirements, as well as the personal qualifications they are looking for.
There are some issues with this opportunity, though, and one of them is that your home needs to be as quiet as possible as you will be talking to big companies on the phone frequently.
There’s also some concern with the cost of starting the job, especially if you don’t have all of the equipment Sitel requires.
The company also doesn’t offer this work at home opportunity in all the states in the U.S. and you are also not allowed to miss even one day of training or you will be dropped from the project.

Sitel is designed for two groups of people with one being businesses who are looking to outsource work or tasks in their operations.
The other group are people like you who are looking for a work opportunity, whether it’s work from home or office work.
For businesses, the company provides them an opportunity to outsource some of the work they have. Sitel offers services like a call center, training and talent management, consulting, technical support, and more.
Businesses are assured that Sitel only hires people who are qualified to perform the tasks and duties they are outsourcing to the company.
For people, the company offers an opportunity to work in a BPO company, either in the office or in the comfort of their own home.
Sitel has offices from several countries all over the world, giving opportunities to a lot of people looking for work. If you live in certain states in the U.S., then you will also have an opportunity to work from home.
The company allows work from home for call center agents in certain states. You will be paid per hour, plus full benefits if you work full-time. For part-timers, you will only get the salary they offer.
Applying is simple, but there will be some requirements you need to meet. I’ll discuss these in the next section, together with the kind of work you will do and how much you can expect to make.
How Do You Make Money with Sitel?
Sitel provides job opportunities for people. They have several offices from different countries all over the world, offering various positions.
But they also provide work at home opportunities for call center agents, if you live in certain states in the U.S. You will just need to meet certain requirements to get accepted as a work from home agent.
Your wage will be per hour and you will also get full benefits if you will work full-time. The first step is to apply to be a work from home call center agent on their website.
Before you apply, you need to meet certain requirements. You will need a desktop or laptop with at least Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10 operating system and at least 4GB RAM.
You will also need an anti-virus, preferably full version of Windows Defender or Essentials. A separate 19-inch monitor with a minimum resolution of 1280×1024 and all the peripherals like keyboard, mouse, and headset should also be wired.
You also need an internet connection that is DSL or broadband with a minimum download speed of 3.0 MB and upload speed of at least 1.5 MB. The ISP should also be reliable and have no packet loss and latency under 100ms.
As for the personal requirement, they prefer someone with a previous customer service experience and sales experience is a big plus.
You will be required, though, to have excellent verbal and listening skills, professional and articulate speech, and is able to multi-task and work properly at a fast pace and in a hectic environment.
It is also important that your workspace is free from noise or distractions. Interruptions from family members or other things at home are also not allowed.
If you meet all the requirements, then you can apply for the position. Remember that the opportunity is only available in certain states, so make sure your state is included.
After applying, you can expect a response within 24 hours. Once accepted, you will be required to attend an online training class. The classes are paid, so you will receive a salary during this period.
The length of the training will depend on the project that you will be a part of. The recruiter will work with you to make sure that the project that you will be part of is the one that is best suited for your skills and experience.
Schedule of work, though, will vary on what the client needs. So you can select the ones available for the project you will be a part of.
The work you will do will be taking inbound customer service calls. The calls will involve account or product inquiries, billing inquiries, product or service orders, installation scheduling, or technical troubleshooting.
Sitel said the pay rates will vary depending on the project you will be part of and on your skills and experience. Research shows that the minimum you can earn is $9 per hour and it can increase to up to $14 per hour.
If you apply for a full-time position, you will also get full medical and dental benefits, vacation and holiday pay, as well as a 401(k). You will also be hired as an employee, so taxes will be processed by the company.
They pay bi-weekly and you are encouraged to enroll in direct deposit pay or through their total pay card program. You will also get a $200 referral bonus if you work for 90 days and the person you refer also reaches 90 days.
As mentioned above, there are some issues with Sitel and one of them is that this opportunity is not for people who have pets or babies at home.
The company wants a home setting that is very quiet and distraction-free during the working schedule. This is understandable, since you will be talking to major clients, so it’s important you focus only on the job.
There’s also an issue with the overhead cost of working for this company, especially if you don’t have the necessary equipment they need. It’s either you shell out the money to buy the necessary equipment or look for a different opportunity.
You are also not allowed to miss even just one day of the training class. The company doesn’t have a makeup training class and each day they will cover an important topic or provide necessary information.
If you miss a class, you will be dropped from the project. You are also not allowed to work in a coffee shop as they require that your home-office IP address is used.
What I Like about Sitel
Now that we know what Sitel is and what they offer, it’s time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I like about Sitel is that you will be treated as an employee and not as an independent contractor. This means that you get all the benefits that an employee gets like medical and dental benefits, vacation and holiday leave, and so on. Plus, you don’t have to worry about doing your own taxes.
- Another thing that I like about Sitel is that you won’t have to worry about paying for anything. All the background checks that they will require, even the credit check and drug screenings will be paid for by Sitel. So there won’t be any expense on your part, except for the required equipment.
- It’s also good that Sitel will still pay you your wage, even during the training period. A lot of work from home opportunities don’t pay during the training period, so it’s a big plus you can make money even if you are just training.
What I Dislike about Sitel
Of course, not everything is good and dandy with Sitel, as there are also things that I didn’t really like about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I didn’t like about Sitel is that they only accept Windows laptop or PC and they are strict with the computer requirements. So if you own a Mac or your laptop or PC doesn’t meet the requirements, you will either need to purchase a new laptop with the right technical specifications or look for a different opportunity.
- I also don’t like that this work from home opportunity is not as flexible as the other work from home opportunities. You are not allowed to work anywhere you want or whenever you want. There’s a schedule you need to follow and a working space that you are required to use. You are basically working in an office, except the office is at your home. So you save money and time on the commute. You can also save some money on your food since you don’t need to eat out or buy outside.
- You don’t have a say on the project or on the schedule that you want to work. The project you can be a part of will depend greatly on your skills and experience. And the schedule will depend on the project that you will get. So if the available schedule is not to your liking, you either adjust or don’t push through with the application.
Do I Recommend Sitel?
After learning more about Sitel and what they really bring, I can say that it is an opportunity that is worth checking out.
This opportunity is basically a job that you will just be doing at home instead of in an office. But this doesn’t mean you have the freedom to do anything you want at home.
They have strict requirements when it comes to your home setting, so you will basically be turning your home into an office.
If you’re looking for a work from home opportunity that really provides you with a flexible schedule and allows you to work anytime and anywhere you want, then Sitel may not be for you.
But if you are looking for a job but don’t want the daily commute and repetition of going to work and going home, then this opportunity might work well for you.
