Appdown is a reward app, where it pays people to do a simple task of downloading featured game apps and playing them for a while. They are rewarded with points that they can exchange for rewards like gift cards or cash.
People would just need to go to the Appdown website or download it at Google Play and register for free, and then they can already start earning points by downloading apps and using them.
It currently doesn’t have an iOS app, so Apple users would need to use their browser to use Appdown.
Each app to be downloaded has a requirement that people need to complete to earn points. It can be as simple as using them for 2 minutes or more, to a more complicated task of achieving a certain level or completing a mission.
Appdown also allows members to earn via answering a survey, signing up for offers or watching videos.
Once enough points are earned, members can exchange them for a variety of rewards, like gift cards, Facebook or Skype credits, and more. They can also exchange their points for cash rewards that will be paid via PayPal.

Who uses Appdown?
Two types of people are using Appdown, people who want to earn money through downloading and using game apps and the app developers or ad networks who provide the apps, surveys, offers, and videos found on the app.
For developers and ad networks, Appdown presents them with a great opportunity to ensure that their apps are downloaded and used, or their surveys are answered, or their videos are viewed.
This is also a good opportunity for developers and ad networks to conduct their research or have an app be tested by people.
Since members will earn points for completing tasks, they are more than likely to complete at least one or all of the available tasks.
For members, Appdown presents them an opportunity to earn just by doing simple things like downloading and using game apps, answering surveys, or watching videos.
All they need to do is to sign up, which is free and easy to do, and then they can already start earning points.
To sign up, people would just need to have an email address and a password. They can also choose to register through their Facebook or Google Plus account.
The minimum age requirement to be able to sign up for Appdown is 13-years-old.
How can People Make Money in Appdown?
The main way to earn points from Appdown is by downloading game apps and accomplishing the requirements needed.
Each app has a different requirement, with some being as simple as using the app for a couple of minutes, while the others being as complicated as reaching level 2 or collecting items.
The corresponding points that people will earn will depend on the kind of task they need to accomplish in a game app. Simple tasks will earn small amounts of points, while the more complicated ones will provide more points.
Aside from downloading and using an app, members can also earn by completing surveys, signing up for offers, or watching videos. Appdown also provides a referral program, allowing members to boost their points earned.
Each member is given a unique share link that their referral will need to input when they are signing up. Members will earn up to 50% of the income of every referral they have forever.
The minimum percentage that members can earn from their referral is 25%. Once members are able to earn enough points they can exchange it for gift cards or cash.
The gift cards available include, Amazon, iTunes, Windows, Google Play, and more. The app can also be exchanged for other items like game cards for Zynga or oBucks cards.
The rewards and gift cards available differ per country, so it is important that members check out the available reward in their country. Appdown also allows points to be exchanged for Facebook and Skype credits.
Members can also exchange their points for money; they just need to view the worldwide rewards. The minimum cash members can earn is $2, worth 6,000 points, while the maximum is $10 at 30,000 points.
Appdown will pay via PayPal. According to the terms and conditions of the company, they will remit the cash within 30 days and the minimum payout is $15.
They will just store the money until the member is able to reach the minimum requirement for cashing out.
What is Good about Appdown?
Now that you already have an idea of what the Appdown app is, it is time to discuss what I liked about them.
- It is free and easy to join, as people will only need their email address and a password to be a member of Appdown, no need for other details. They can also join through their Facebook or Google Plus account.
- Using Appdown is also very easy, as the simple interface of the website allows people to navigate around the site or app without problems.
- It has cash options, which is probably the main thing I liked about this reward app. Not everyone wants to be paid in gift cards, so having cash option is a great positive.
What is Bad about Appdown?
Of course, not everything is all great and perfect with Appdown, as there are some things that the company could improve upon and I’ll be discussing it here.
- The earning potential of Appdown is very low, as a lot of the tasks and offers available don’t really pay big amounts of points, making it very difficult to earn a decent income with the app.
- The rewards available are very limited and Appdown easily runs out of a lot of the gift cards they offer, which can be a problem for people who prefer the gift cards over the cash.
- The payout is a bit high at $15, making it hard to reach for a lot of people. Since it is not easy to earn a lot of points in Appdown, people are likely able to cash out once or twice a month at most.
- Being able to cash out once or twice will use up a lot of people’s time, which is really a waste, considering there are better ways to spend their times wisely.
- It doesn’t have an iOS app, so Apple users will have to access Appdown through their web browser.
Is Appdown a Scam or does it Really Pay?
Though Appdown is a relatively new reward app, one thing that is clear here is that it is not a scam. It is a legitimate app that will really pay people for completing the tasks found in the app.
Members would just have to make sure that they follow all of the requirements needed in order to earn points from downloading and using game apps. Of course, people should not expect to earn significant income here.
Heck, they can already consider themselves lucky to earn $15 – $30 per month on Appdown. And they need to spend a lot of time on the site to achieve that.
Do I Recommend Appdown to the People?
Do I recommend Appdown? Despite it being legit and provides a somewhat fun way of earning small amounts of money, I don’t really recommend people to register for Appdown.
I think the app is a waste of time for a lot of people, regardless if they are looking to earn money online or not.
This is because Appdown doesn’t really provide any value to the people aside from earning them points that they can exchange for rewards or cash.
Without the app’s point earning system, there’s really no need for people to be a member of Appdown and use the app.
The points members can earn for each completed task is also low, making it hard to reach the minimum point needed to get a reward.
Sure, you can help out app developers and ad networks by downloading and using their apps, but the rewards provided is not significant enough to warrant the time you will need to spend on the app.
The minimum $15 payout is also high, and combining that with low point payment, the rewards available is not really compelling enough to warrant signing up.
Completing all of the tasks found in Appdown will likely take a lot of your precious time, which you could have been using for more productive activities or in apps and websites that will provide more value.
So if you are looking for a money making app or website that is also able to provide you with great value, then Appdown is not what you need.
