Multilevel marketing opportunities are usually at the forefront when it comes to opportunities that can provide people with a business or extra income that they can do on the side.
There are a lot of companies out there that offer MLM opportunities to people to help them make extra money on the side, or even replace their current day job and become a full-time entrepreneur.
Of course, not every MLM opportunity is created equal, as some are legit while others are just a scam. And then there are also the legitimate ones that turn out to be just a waste of time.
Now, there are a lot of factors that can determine whether an MLM opportunity is legitimate and worth your time and money. One of the factors, of course, is if the company offering it is reputable.
Unilever is one of the most well-known companies around the world, considering it has a lot of popular brands in food, home care, and beauty and personal care products.
But did you know that the company also has an MLM program? Yes, and they are doing this through the Unilever Network Marketing company. The name of the businesses is called Aviance.
It’s basically a company that offers an opportunity to get discounts on products and sell them at retail price to get profits. You can also earn commissions from your downlines, as well as other forms of incentives.
The amount of money you can earn here will depend on a lot of different factors, so it’s really hard to gauge the value of what you can earn.
You can be lucky and earn hundreds to thousands of dollars in a month or you can be unlucky and earn just a few dollars or even nothing. But is the Unilever Network really legit or a scam?

Unilever Network is a Legit Opportunity But there are Some Issues
Unilever Network is the network marketing division of the company that is offering this MLM opportunity through the business called Aviance.
The MLM opportunity, basically, provides you with a way to get discounts from the company’s products, make a profit by selling the discounted products at standard retail price, and earn commissions from downlines.
From what I’ve seen so far, I can say that this opportunity seems like a legitimate one. Of course, I’m banking more on the reputation and popularity of Unilever to assume that this opportunity is legit.
The reason I say this is because the Unilever Network has not really been generous when it comes to the information about the opportunity they are providing, which is my biggest issue with them.
If you look at their website, you cannot find a lot of information about the opportunity, how much you can possibly make, and other important details.
It seems like you will have to be a member first before you can obtain all of the information you will need. The opportunity doesn’t seem to be available worldwide as well.
But again, it’s hard to tell with the lack of information from the site. I’ll discuss this issue in more detail as we progress further with this review.
Who Uses Unilever Network?
The MLM opportunity that Unilever Network offers is designed for people who are looking for opportunities for a side business and earn extra income.
It’s also designed for people who regularly purchase products from Unilever and are looking to get some discounts for some of the products.
As a member, you will be given a chance to earn discounts from some of the products that Unilever sells. You can then sell those products at retail prices to earn profits.
Since this is an MLM opportunity, the company also allows you to earn commissions from the sales that your downlines will get.
Now, since this is an MLM opportunity, becoming a member will cost you. Unilever Network, though, provides several plans for you to join and two of those plans are free.
The opportunity, though, seems to be available only to certain countries in Asia. In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail the registration process, as well as how you can make money.
How Do You Make Money with Unilever Network?
The Unilever Network offers 3 opportunities for you to make money. One is to purchase the Unilever items they are selling at a lower price and sell them at the standard retail price for profits.
The other is to get commissions from the sales that people you recruit make. The last one is not really a way to earn, but more like a way to save money, through discount coupons.
Now becoming a member is simple, as you just need to visit the Unilever Network website and click ‘Join’.
Or you can join through the Aviance website. If you join through the Unilever Network website, you only have one membership option, and that is the Business Associate option.
If you join through the Aviance website, you have three membership options, the Personal Shopper, the Affiliate, or the Business Associate.
The Personal Shopper and Affiliate are free membership while the Business Associate will cost you. The amount of money you need to shell out will depend on the Asian country you are residing for example, Singaporeans need to pay 40 Singapore Dollars to be a member.
Now the Personal Shopper membership is the one where you can save money. You’ll be able to get a discount so you can save on your purchase. You will get a discount of 25% off on all of the items they have.
The Affiliate membership, on the other hand, offers a few ways to make money.
This membership will allow you to promote the different products that the company offers. The first way to earn is to take advantage of the 25% discount on the items and sell them at the standard retail price.
The other way is through the 8% cash bonus you can earn whenever a person purchases an item using your promo code.
The last opportunity is the Business Associate where you can earn serious money. You get the advantage that both free membership offers, plus a commission of 8 to 10% from your downline’s earnings.
This membership also automatically entitles you to a compensation plan to widen the profits and benefits you can get. You can also qualify for incentives like travel and tours, cars, and more.
Now as I mentioned above, one of my main issue with this MLM opportunity is that it doesn’t really provide a lot of information.
But the information they do provide is still lacking, as you will need to join first or attend a presentation to be able to learn more. I believe it would have been better if all the information was already provided on the website.
But this is not really uncommon, especially in the MLM industry. They don’t really provide a lot of information at the start, in order to entice you to attend the presentation or to join.
Another issue I have is that the site is really not clear as to who can become a member. They say that it is available in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
But the websites that promote this opportunity come from other Asian countries like the Philippines, Hong Kong, and others. So it really makes you wonder who can really join this opportunity.
What I Like about Unilever Network
Now that we know what Unilever Network is and what it offers, it’s time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I liked about Unilever Network is that this is one of the rare MLM opportunities out there that offer free membership. Granted one of the free memberships doesn’t really allow you to earn any money, but a lot of people only join MLM opportunities just to obtain the discounts that members get when purchasing products. So it’s good that the company has that option for you, in case you are only after the discounts and not the earning opportunity
- I also like that membership to Unilever Network is not that expensive. You only need to shell out 600 Baht, 40 Singapore Dollars, or 85 Malaysian Ringgit to be a Business Associate member.
What I Dislike about Unilever Network
Not everything is good and dandy, though, with Unilever Network, as there are also things that I didn’t really like about this opportunity.
- One of the first things that I didn’t really like about Unilever Network is their lack of information about the opportunity. If you look at the website, yes they do provide some details about the different memberships they have and the benefits of each one. But it still doesn’t provide the complete picture. Like the Business Associate benefits didn’t really provide many detail about the other cash bonuses you can get or what the other life rewards are.
- Another issue I have with Unilever Network is that the opportunity seems to be available only in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. But it seems like other Asian countries can also register to be a Business Associate. I think that the information they have on the site is not really updated, which I hope they change soon so it will provide you with more accurate and up to date information.
Do I Recommend Unilever Network?
After learning more about Unilever Network and what it brings, I can say that it is an opportunity that is worth checking out.
It’s really hard to recommend this site as a money-making opportunity, considering there really isn’t a lot of information about its opportunity, other than some general statements.
This makes it harder to gauge how much you can really make with this website. But I do say that the free membership they offer is enticing, especially since you can get discounts from it.
If you become an Affiliate, you can even make some money from it. This is why I recommend that you check it out and see for yourself.
If you are a constant buyer of their products, then becoming a free member might be a good idea for you. You can get discounts on the products that you usually buy.
If you are looking to make money from it, then you have to be prepared to work hard and spend a lot of time on it. As an MLM opportunity, it will really require hard work, dedication, and a bit of luck to succeed at Unilever Network.
