Paidonlinewritingjobs Review – Legit or Scam?

Sharing is caring!

paidonlinewritingjobsWhat Is PaidOnlineWritingJobs?

PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com is an “exclusive” online hub that connects freelance writers with some of the choicest writing gigs on the Internet.

The premise, at first glance, is simple: writers sign up, go through a brief training period, and apply to jobs that are pre-selected by the PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com team.

No need to set-up a portfolio, nor waste time bidding on jobs- everything that you need to get started on an online freelancing career is located in just one convenient website.

This is in direct contrast to the usual career route that budding freelance writers take (which often includes a lot of writing effort, networking, and failed pitches).

How Do You Make Money With It?

Before you can start making money with PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com, the site has to make money off of you first.

Upon signing up, you’ll get a free webinar that showcases all kinds of adulations for PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com (about why it’s a great site for newbie writers everywhere) and afterwards a prompt that asks if you want to pay $1 “administration” fee for the site’s fast-track 3-Day Easy Training Program.

Yes, you read that right.

Why study grammar and language for years, when you can be an instant professional writer in just three days for just one dollar?

There’s a small catch though; the one dollar training actually costs $49.95.

You can either choose to pay the entirety of the training fee one-time big-time, or just pay a dollar and have the rest of the amount taken from the first salary that you get on the site (if you do manage to get a first salary out of this, that is).

But the charges do not end there!

Once the three day “training” period has expired, you’ll be asked to pay up a whopping $77 just to access the jobs database.

Your paying of this fee qualifies you to become a VIP member of PaidOnlineWritingJobs, and this status has to be maintained monthly if you still want access to the “exclusive” jobs database.

In other words, your credit card will be charged $77 a month! Charging for “entrance fees” is kind of understandable if you get an exclusive database of jobs in return.

But the way that PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com does this is extremely shady; and whatever career benefit or returns that you expect from this site will most likely NOT materialize.

What are the Issues With It?

First off, let’s look at the site itself. Everything looks professional enough: the site is clean and newbie-friendly.

If you want to join, you need to click on the Sign Up Now button located in the middle of the front page.

You’ll be asked “Are You Already A Paid Member of Paid Online Writing Jobs?”

You’ll answer no.

And the issues become apparent after this step.

You’ll be greeted with a list of some of the “jobs” that you can apply to if you join.

As of this writing, the latest posting there dates back to February and it looks like nothing has been updated in a while.

If you click on the “Click to Apply” button, you’ll be directed to a sign up page.

Once you’ve entered your email address, the site will ask you when you are available for the supposedly free webinar.

Let us repeat once more: this webinar is useless.

It’s nothing but promotional content for PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com, afterwards you’ll just get prompted for the one-dollar training fee and the $77 VIP fee.

But the worst insult of all is the fact that the “exclusive” jobs database that PaidOnlineWritingJobs is selling to its users is nothing more than a list of writing jobs sourced from eLance.

If you’re not familiar what eLance is, it’s an online jobs marketplace that allows people to bid on jobs.

All of the jobs there can be accessed by anyone for free!

No need to pay for an upfront entrance fee or anything.

PaidOnlineWritingJobs is selling a free product to the public!

What’s more is that you still have to bid on everything – you’re not ensured to be able to successfully land a job on the site.

Another bad thing is that if you’re not careful, it’s easy to miss the clause that says that you will be charged an additional $77 if the training period has expired.

Remember that this fee is MONTHLY.

For people who are not online-savvy, the can easily fall prey for this kind of shady financial shenanigans that PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com is fulling.

Of course, the site does have a 60-day money back guarantee.

But you’re lucky if you do manage to get a reply from customer support in the nick of time.

They have no business email (just a contact form) and no telephone numbers either.

What are Others Saying Around the Web?

The first few results on Google for “PaidOnlineWritingJobs review” are suspiciously positive.

It is to be noted that these were all written with poor grammar and sentence structure- as if someone hired a cheap, incompetent, writer to write copy for them.

The rest of the reviews, understandably, were all negative.

Most were complaining about the fact that PaidOnlineWritingJobs duped them off their money, and the fact that the site does not actually have an exclusive jobs database for its writers.

Others were raging at the site’s non-existent customer support- they weren’t able to get their promised refund, sadly enough.

Final Verdict

If you want to be a successful online freelance writer, there are a lot of FREE resources on the Internet that you can learn from.

You don’t need to take paid classes or anything.

As long as you have a good grasp of the English language and know your way around a computer, then you’re good to go.

All you need to do is build a portfolio and learn how to sell your skills well.

There are a lot of legitimate jobs sites out there for writers.

Yes, some of them might require bidding on jobs while some are outright content farms, but at least you’ll get paid in real money for your trouble.

PaidOnlineWritingJobs.com is nothing more than an online scam that is out to victimize people out of their hard earned money.

Stay, far, far, away.
