BigCrumbs Review – Legit Cash Back or Scam?

Welcome to my 3rd party review of MainStreetSHARES, formally known as BigCrumbs.

I would like to start out by pointing out that I have ZERO affiliation with any of the companies I review.

This is important because you won’t have to sit through another sales pitch or worry about the review being bias in any way.

I guess what I am trying to say is that objectivity is paramount in my reviews.

If a company is legit, I say so and back it up with evidence.

If the company is a scam or has some downfalls, I will call them out on it and ask the company to clarify any of the issues I find.

This will help all of us in the long run.

The review will consist of the following sections:

• The History or background of the company
• What the company claims to provide members
• How does the cash back program work
• How do you get your cash back
• Commission rates & coupons
• The Referral program
• The Better Business Bureau (BBB) info
• The Final Verdict

All of the sections are equally important so I recommend sticking around for the entire review.

It will help you make an educated decision.

The entire purpose is not to worry about the reputation of the company and tell you whatever information I uncover, good or bad.

If there are any updates to this company, check this review out at a later date.

BigCrumbs Overview – What is the Company?

OK, you might be asking what the company is, considering the name sounds like the name of a bread or cookie company.

BigCrumbs gave you cash back for shopping online at a variety of different popular stores.

They claim to be one of the best cash back sites and rival Ebates.

With all of that being said, on April 10th of 2015, BigCrumbs moved to MainStreetSHARES.

This means you get two reviews in one, which can’t be a bad thing.

MainStreetSHARES

When a company is absorbed by another things can be messy, which is annoying for members.

However, there is some great information on, what is left of the BigCrumb website.

The image above clearly states that members of BigCrumbs automatically get all of their account details and shares have been transferred.

This must have been a big relief for members and I am glad MSSHARES was able to make the move as smooth as possible.

There is more information that was posted on the old site as well:

1. Its more than cash back. You earn share of all company revenue based on their definition of TOTAL SPENDING.
2. Transferred info includes referrals, earnings, shopping history, payments.
3. Your User ID and your email address is the same for MSSHARES.
4. You get the same exact number of MSSHARES, as you did BigCrumbs.
5. If you still have BigCrumbs referral links, they will still work. The links will redirect to MSSHARES.
6. If you were owed a payment during our transition months of Jan and Feb of 2015, recertify your PayPaly info to the MSSHARE site and the payment will be made immediately.

It’s as simple as this; MSSHARES did a lot for their members and it could have been a disaster.

With that being said, we can try to uncover why BigCrumbs was moved in the first place.

Better Business Bureau (BBB)

As you can see, this grade is nowhere near perfect and I hope that the 1 complaint in the system can shed some light as to why the company was moved.

This seems to be a common mistake by cash back companies.

Look, I get it, mistakes are made.

However, this is clearly not the only mistake they have made and this could be the reason they “moved.”

That is another way of saying that BigCrumbs could have sold their memberships to another company for a lot of money.

This is also a great way of cleaning up their reputation and starting off fresh.

Either way, the outcome seems to be motivated by large sums of money.

Now that I look at the entire business model of BigCrumbs and MSSHARES, it is shockingly similar to MLMs. You recruit or “refer” new members, and then you make money on their purchases.

You also make money from simply referring people.

Hmmmm.

One last note about this section!

The BBB are always my go to site for valuable info so if the company is located in the U.S. then you can search them.

The company will be there more often than not.

You can search by name or website.

How MSSHARES Works

If you are familiar with BigCrumbs at all, then the MSSHARES business model should come to no surprise.

They have the same “easy as 1-2-3” approach.

You simply become a member and shop like you normally would.

Your shopping generates commissions through MSSHARES.

You earn money on those commissions and earn a share of the overall company revenue streams.

You can also earn on your referrals shopping as well.

MSSHARES Hype or Fact?

I have been pretty tough on BigCrumbs and MSSHARES due to the fact that the transfer speculation from one company to the next.

I would like to take out the time to point out something that might help people see how many people are involved with MSSHARES.

According to the image above, you can see that there are over 300K members and well over 13 million shares earned.

These are amazing numbers and they tell me that many people are having success with this opportunity.

I will also add that it is not for everyone because most people only utilize the discounts and cash back options.

Still, this is a pretty good deal.

MSSHARES Coupons

Take a look at the image above to see what you can get when you become a member.

I don’t know about you but the discounts are pretty nice but some of them are hit or miss.

For example, I personally would love the 5% or 10% off at Ace Hardware.

While others might find this discount useless.

The great thing about the site is the fact that there are thousands of coupons to claim so you will almost always find something useful.

My only concern is to mention the fact that every cash back company I have reviewed, issues with coupon redeeming has been a problem.

There have been complaints about not receiving the proper discounts when the purchases are made.

I have not seen any complaints about MSSHARES yet but there could be in the near future.

The Final Verdict

I am not in the business of recommending companies because it is ultimately your choice and you are capable of making the right choice for you.

With this being said, I think it is safe to say that BigCrumbs was not a scam and neither is MainStreetSHARES.

I will admit that both of the companies had their faults but nothing is perfect, especially in the world of business.

We have covered a lot of information in this review so the rest is up to you.

Unless, you are think there are better options out there.

To be honest, there are so many ways to make serious money online.

The problem is trying to weed through the companies that are based on hype and lies and finding the ones that could potentially make you money.

The options you have should be based on variables like your skill set.

One thing I will always say to people is the fact that training will always open more doors for you.

Many have used them in the past and they still work.
